Journey- "Mother, Father"
Rush- "Time Stand Still"
Porcupine Tree- "Lazarus"
Boston- "Hitch a Ride"
Bruce Springsteen- "Born to Run"
It seems like certain moments of this song are "triggers" to that odd feeling. Of course, in "Mother, Father" it's near the end of the song when Smitty nails those drums... "Have faith, believe...." and then Perry goes into angel mode. Absolutely beautiful.
The other one of these songs that seems to hit me the hardest, every time, is "Time Stand Still." I can't put my finger on it. The way Geddy Lee sings "Freeze this moment just a little bit longer..." makes me shiver. Great song overall, I'd put it up there with Rush's best..
Do they make you feel funny in your pants?

Speaking of Rush, one song of theirs that I always loved was a song called "Losing It". Anybody know that one? It's about artists who gradually lose the edge to creating their craft. Talks about a writer who's older mind clouds with indecision, a dancer that gets old and can no longer do the moves that she used to... just a very cool song and an original topic. Loved the lyrics for that one. I was into Rush up until Grace Under Pressure and then I kind of just didn't follow them any longer.
