what an ass he was. i was putting wyatt in his stroller to head out when he walked up to dean. like an idiot i'm all smiles and say hello. he smiles and said hi back and turned his attention to dean..... totally out of line and embarrassing as a representative of journey.... especially for him to get in dean's face right after we were all hanging, taking pics, and talking to deen and his family for a good deal of time.

and dean, deen's momma will set you straight... 96? shame on you

it was so wonderful to visit. i hadn't seen some of these folks in a few years. wyatt got lots of love from a lot of beautiful women, men too. 8)

If he is still employed by the band this should tell you how distant the band are from their fan base and show their continued poor decisions. It shows how desparate to keep on with their....I don't even know what to call it because it is sooooo childlike. STOP putting money in their pockets and they MAY listen.

OK, I'll be the dick......Only because Dean has picked me to berate lately for noe reason, but that is his style. Poke and run and hide.....JT is cool. Sure he can be tough. You know how many "Hey, can u get me back to meet the band from 45-60 year old men and women now days that look like they should be in a Vegas Tour Bus Convention????" He helped me out s few times. Helped my son Tyler with Deen and Jim too. I'm sure that the band truly likes JT or they would not keep him around. He does his jobs. Obviously they are not for giving many chnaces to people who can't do their job or fit in!!! So I oubt they dilike him Dean.

With all the venom and rath that Deano has spewed around here, I think JT was right. I don't care where he was. He obviously had orders from Journey management at some level to keep the trouble making loud mouth out of the concert. Need I say more??? You could spend hours here cutting and pasting remarks of him publicly humiliating Jon and Neal. So, Neal being the leader and possibly also realing from Tapegate still...said keep him out. Ticket or no ticket, they don't have to let you in. Read the back of any ticket. If they see you as a trouble maker or trouble in gerneral, you're out.

Dean cost this band hundreds of thousands of dollars if not millions with the whole SA thing. I would keep him out too if it were my band and I had an individual like JT to handle it.....Sorry, I see JT, Journey and the whole thing as positive keeping Dean away from the band. What do you think the meet and greet would be like if Deano and Neal met, or Jon, or if Ross has loyalty, Ross too.....I'm surprised Deen had dinner with the dude persoanlly. He should be loyal to the band and the wishes of the band to keep this trouble maker away from them. I'm very surprised.

JT being loud or not, he gave Dean the warning that someone told him to give. I doubt, JT has a sole vendetta over SA towards Deano. Deano has never been positive about anything around here. Lately he has been way out of line with many peole about alot of things. I think he got what he derserves. I'm sure Dean didn't have any alcohol on board either. I mean, he never brags here about "rolling in to the show with a case on board" or anything like that huh? JT, good job!!! I praise you. Personally, I would made a bigger spectacle out of it and made it look like he was fighting so you could have maybe popped his shoulder out of place and maybe had his head hit a wall or two on the way out. Way to go JT!!!! Keep up the good work. Keep Journey safe from trouble making assholes like some we know!!!!

We all have to remember that there is ALWAYS two sides to the story!, I'm sure JT's would be much different and probably even better!!!

Neal being a "leader" now that is pure, extreme humor. You made me laugh hard on that one. Thank you. The only "leader Neal could be - well he is the leader in paying support payments.

Was JT out of line? YES There was a small child, a baby in fact present. Evidently this idiot was too stunned to realize that. If his beef was with Dean, then a MAN of good calibur, a man that represents an "empire" (I know some of you are laughing - but there are some that would consider Journey an empire) would address Lula then ask to speak to Dean on the side. JT is totally classless and anyone who thinks he did the right thing has a total lack of class also. There is the right way to do things and the wrong way, apparently this idiot doesn't know the difference between the two.
When in doubt, DUCK!

Not taking sides, but considering Deano's blog, and the negative things that were said over the last six months, I was actually wondering if this would happen. I couldn't imagine the band being happy about any of that. And as far as handling the situation with class, I'm sure the band might say the same about Deano - there were a lof of crude, personal attacks on his part. I'm not sure what anyone expected their reaction to be. And JT works for Journey. He was obviously doing as he was told.

In front of a baby and the mother? Oh come on. There is a right way and a wrong way for things to be handled. If someone acted this way towards one of them with their child in the presence of it - all shit would hit the fan and lawyers on speed dials would be getting calls.

You call this "professional behavior"? Oh right I just remembered what we are talking about.

The Band, "J.T. get my dry cleaning out, send out the limo.. go to that restaurant and get us some food.. oh and by the way.. keep dean out .. hey man.. scream at him in a crowded restaurant and yell curses in front of children.. THATS the journey way... now.. get going.."

I agree with you on that. I'm not saying JT handled it correctly. I'm just saying I'm not surprised to hear that the band didn't welcome him after what has gone down in the past few months...

Sounds like he's alright with the band, if he was hanging out with Castronovo and chatting it up.

I actually have met quite a few tour managers over the years through my job, and most of them were ok in the head. And very good at a very tough job.

I don't recall Deano ripping Deen C. to shreds. I don't think Deen C. is the one giving out the orders either.

I just meant that after all that was said over the last few months on Dean's part, it didn't seem surprising that there was some reaction on the band's part - that's all. I'm not saying JT handled it correctly, but there was obviously a reason for what he did.

Precisely. Not surprised at all that it hand it likely was an order from someone higher in the band/management. Honestly, I don't blame them either. There was a lot of money changing hands after that fiasco, and that's reason enough for most people running a business. If you cost them a lot of extra money, they don't want anything to do with you. However, it sounds as if the situation was handled very poorly, and that's sad. Discretion should be handled for certain matters.

People, this had really nothing to do with Journey. It's very personal. Last year, Toomey didn't like my backstage demeanor. I was out of control a few times but really harmless. So I was rummaging through Lippards beer cooler in LA....who gives a shit?

Toomey hates me because he knows I have a voice here, and thanks to the internet, a very loud one. What happened in Tapegate simply happened. Tough. That's the way it goes. For all you people that followed TG, you will know I was a guest many times after SA was let go. There is no animosity with Neal and I, or Ross and I. Can't say for sure about Friga, but who cares? Many here were recipients of passes that I gave you, so feel free to pull the knife out of my back.

Frankly, it was a very fun time for me getting in that douche's face. I would like nothing more than to meet him one to one someplace, but whatever. The band may not like him personally, but he is good for them. Fuck, they are grown men who need babysitters most times. He is a hard ass, and while I think he is a dick, I believe he does a good job. I forgot to mention in our yelling match, he busts out with the "You were so drunk you fell off our tour bus last year." I laughed and then he mentioned the "you are a troublemaker for this band" and that's when I said straight to his puss, "I saved this band's ass!" He didn't say a fucking word.

So, there you have it. He didn't have any orders, that came straight from him. If that moron knew that Ross, Neal and I partied together he would soil his panties.

PS- soto all the way, LOL, I don't even bother reading your posts. Not worth the time.

Soto All The Way is a dick.

If Journey had continued on with Augieri on that tour, someone with a lot more power than Deano would have figured it out eventually, and the shit-storm from that fallout would have been massive. Now, I still think JSS was the direction they should have gone, but all things being equal...it appears they have a great singer in Pineda.

So really, there might no longer be a Journey if Deano hadn't caught them lipping. I'd rather have a world with Journey recording and on the road than not!

Soto All The Way...get off your soap box.
But around town, it was well known...when they got home at night
Their fat and psychopathic wives
Would thrash them within inches of their lives!

JT did most of the shouting. Dean was actually very matter of fact and made his points rather well. Swearing in front of people going into a nice restaurant, and a mother with her infant son is deplorable. JT was out of line. I thought he was sort of sad and pathetic. I laughed at him and walked away. I didn't want to miss the show for any reason and I'm glad I didn't. Their new ballad is perhaps one of the best I've ever heard. "After All These Years" is the name I believe. Simply awesome. 8)

Missed the whole damn thing. We just headed out to grab a bite to eat..we only walked about...10 miles that walk so it's all good. Came back to a mess that was Dean and JT. Crazy..Dan gave us the details of it.. so translation of this is that Planet Hollywood will never be the same..
