Lyrics might sound weird at first glance, but the latent meanings are pure RNR sin seeking.

Trial By Fire is certainly no ballad. It is however one of the best Journey songs every recorded, a whole new level of song writing for the lads from Journey that day

What can you tell me about that song, Red13? Really, I'm serious. I'm pretty conservative, not an adventurous person, so I just don't get the latent meanings.
My understanding on Journey's songwriting is, before JC came along, SP carried the main load for the lyrical contents to their songs. Greg did some writing, but the others were mainly musicians. The music was always good, but some of those early songs, I mean, are so lame--lyrically challenged.
