It's just Journey. Maybe one of them can't cross the border. The bands they have toured with have played here. Def Leppard, Heart, etc.......

"Before everyone starts screaming at us "why isn't there a posting" - you should know that the announcement by Heart's people was sent out in error. The "official" tour dates for the summer will be announced by end of business day tomorrow by the appropriate people from the appropriate organizations."
Interesting, but not unexpected. I previously thought the Indianapolis show was on a different night (Sept. 6)

I just had this funny mental image of Ross, Neal, and Friga robbing a Canadian liquor store.

No problem. Speaking of Cheap Trick's message board - you wouldn't believe how many people thinking this tour is "below" Cheap Trick and that they should be headlining. Are you serious? These will be the biggest crowds Cheap Trick will play in front of in a long time.

Cheap Trick...dear Lord.Talk about a fucking gaggle of trailer park fans. I bet they sell cigarettes, Night Train, and Bic lighters at the Cheap Trick souvenir stands rather than t-shirts. No way those low life fuckers can afford anything over $10. Fuck, the ticket price alone will be a week's pay.

If you play in Canada is the tour considered 'international' or 'world'?
Maybe there are several reasons why.
Maybe none at all...other than Perry's "Bon Jour Montreal" back in 1980?
Isn't that enough?![]()

Dunno - maybe none of the promoters here want them (or know they're even still around) Like Deb pointed out - seems like every other American band does dates here. I think they did a few Augeri-era dates in Eastern Canada, but I recall only one concert ever in their history in Western Canada - waaay back in '80 or thereabouts.

I saw them here in Calgary in May 82 on the Escape tour. But they never made it back here on the ROR tour.

Cheap Shit is opening, Heart is the sandwich act, and Journey is closing. Playing after fucking Cheap Trick, Heart is going to sound like The Beatles.
