You do have a point except when it comes to gaming. Mac's are a little more reliable, but not that much. They used to be way more reliable, but MS has made some huge strides in leveling the playing field. Apple better keep being inovative in the personal entertainment department, ie: ipod, because their computer devision is in serious trouble soon.
It's similar to the Betamax/VHS wars. Beta was better, but you could record up to 8 hours on a VHS tape.
Not true. The Mac is gaining ground in the PC market. Because of the popularity if the iPod and iPhone mare and more people are switching all the time. They are still some of the best personal computers out there aside from gaming and have the most stable OS out there. The best part is you really don't have to worry about viruses.
You don't have viruses because people write viruses to affect as many people as possible. If Mac had the lead in the market share, they'd need an antivirus.
Mac's had it's peaks and valleys, but they've never outsold even one individual pc maker. I still stand by what I said. If they don't stay on top with the personal entertainment field or find a niche somewhere else, when the ipod craze wears off, they'll be in big trouble.
Mac has a convention every year where they invite hackers to come and try and write virus's for a mac, and no one has been able to write a harmful virus yet. one person managed to create one that was harmful on the computer he wrote it on, but once it was on another computer it didn't have root and just died. os X is UNIX. thats why its better. Plus, you can dual boot it with windows, so theres not point in having a pc if you like the mac OS, everthing can be done from one computer.
