You're kidding right? He sounded like ass. There's no power behind a missed note like that. Sorry. If you know anything about singing, you'll know that most missed notes are a result of either a lack of power or an inability to project power at the time the mis-note was sung.
In this particular case, you're giving credit to arnel's voice for the 'power' you hear...and completely discrediting the fact that a microphone was 2 inches from his teeth and the soundman wasn't enough on the ball to drop the faders to get rid of the putrid note.
Listen...everyone fucks up while singing....well, the person that original sang arnels parts never did....but most motal humans fuck up....so this is not the issue.
What's more so the issue is that it seems that there's a whole horde of arneliots jumping in to throw excuse after excuse as the reason for why he fucked up that note. Instead of just saying "yeah, the guy isn't as perfect as I once thought!"
Sorry, the guy tried to hit a 5th, and made a complete ass out of the note....move on.
If Exotic Journey tours Arnel the way they toured between 2002 and 2006, there's going to be ALOT more fucked up notes to talk about. This is just the first of many. The true fun is yet to come....
Interesting. You know Strangegrey, I am just as annoyed at the current lineup as yourself, and agree with you on many points. But I also feel your very passionate as well, but it can also come across perhaps somewhat angry, but also very negotive, and that's fine with me, I can deal with it. But personally I feel, isn't it a waiste of energy? I mean it takes more energy and strength to hate something then to love, and love comes natural, but hate is self created, and it takes alot of inner strength to truley hate something with passion. I just find it not worth it, unless you wanto give yourself a heart attack or add extra wrinkles to your face
Really, i'd be interested to see what Jeremey Hunsicker would say? the reason why I ask, is because I feel he knows what it takes to perform live, and he does post here from time to time, i'd like to see what his thoughts are.
