Didn't Arrival sell 52,000 in it's first week and only end up in the mid 50's?

Times have changed.

They certainly have. The CD is dying and charting barely means anything anymore... the band charting in the spot ahead of you is just selling slightly less worse than you for the most part, rather than doing "better." So yea, I would certainly hope Revelation at least charts

Disturbed- Indestructible (Journey should beat them, their crowd is younger and more likely to download single songs... plus they suck)

A new Weezer release (Potential threat, decent band with good following of all ages)

Bassist Wayman Tisdale's putting out an album (Nobody knew this, probably... dude was a decent baller too)

Some band called The Virgins (I wonder why?)

Ashanti
Bret Michaels
Disturbed
Jakob Dylan
Gavin Rossdale
Jewel
Aimee Mann
Now 28

Alot more, but those might have some impact.
Now 28 will do well.
Disturbed will do well.
Gavin is getting a lot of airplay right now and Bret Michaels is touring and coming off the Rock Of Love deal.

So assuming that most of these CDs will be available at places other than just Walmart, and people will most likely be going to other stores to purchase their music (Best Buy, Circuit City, FYE, Borders, Barnes & Noble, Amazon, etc.), do you think that will be a hurdle for Journey sales?

Not to be a wet noodle, but how many people actually depend on Walmart for the music purchases?

They will both place higher than Journey's CD. In fact, Disturbed last two CD's debuted at #1.

THAT sounds the most likely.

It really isn't where it debuts as much as what happens once it is ON the charts...kinda like a movie debuting at #1 and then sliding into oblivion in a month...

Like HULK in 2003....

Aww.....ya had to go and mention that abortion. :(

The next one is gonna kick some serious ass though!!

LOL...yeah I waited years for HULK to come out and it was a true kick in the balls.

The Incredible Hulk looks like a kick-ass action flick...but have you noticed the lack of marketing? WTF??

Hulk doesn't open for another month. Starting in June, you won't be able to turn on the TV without seeing a TV spot.

Pfff.
Survivor went on there and lipped, too.

Survivor and Def Leppard both did the listening audience a huge favor. Rather than having people scurrying for the exits with their hands over their ears resembling fans of a European soccer team that lost, they lipped instead. Great decision by the powers that be on ABC.

Survivor lipped-synched McAuley's own vocals. It was not even the original recording in other words. No one neared any exits.

I say debuts at #16. Now 28 @ #1 and Disturbed @ #2. Bret Michaels maybe in the top 20 but not top 10.

They should just go all out and pull out all the stops...
Hit EVERY Late-Night show, including SNL and Chelsea Lately, and
EVERY Morning show that will let them thru the doors.

Hell, here's a funny thought...
Set up some kind of contest or promotion
w/ Walmart to have "Journey play at YOUR Walmart!"
I don't know, tie it in the sales, votes, charity donations...
Something crazy...
Welcome to Terminus... You hungry?

Absolutely outstanding ideas, Carl. You'll be hearing some more announcements very soon about at least 1 or 2 more shows.
