Journey Revelation album?
WHat can you say about their new album? Do you think it will reach the billboard top songs? the sales clerk at Walmart asked me "What's going on, everybody is buying this CD!?"

The Napster leak notwithstanding, "Arrival" got alot more PR than "Revelation" did.
I really chalk it up to the 80's friendly zeitgeist and Walmart prominently displaying the album in stores.

For a well known group like Journey its simple execution and simple math. Most of the 300 million people in the USA listen to pure shit, however there are 2-3 % who dont. You apply your talents and and create good product like Revelation and market it well enough to reach those six to nine million people, at least 10% of those people are going to appreciate it and 1% will actually buy it. That gets you 60,000 in sales right there. It builds from there.
