I agree
I take it you would have liked an acknowledgment ?
LOL...if I got upset at all the missed credits/stolen ideas over the years....well, you know...that's not why I do this anyway, so it doesn't matter
I don't know for sure where Arnel's name first came to the attention of others, but I do know the first time it came to mine was the many posts here. I spent some time admiring his Survivor covers and thinking Frankie could use him.

I wouldnt beleive anything Friga said, It was posted here first before him or Neal, kissed each other good morningCatEyes wrote:At one point Jonathan Cain said that his daughter fourn Arnel and brought him to Cain's attention.
That was going around for a while.
Then after the annuncement was made, Neal claimed to discover him.
Perhaps that was done to deflect some of the negative comments.
With Jouney, sometimes it is difficult to find the truth - everyone (including fans) have their own versions that they swear by and will get hostile if anyone doubts what their grandmother's hair dresser told them.

That guy's a loose cannon.
He was running around online bashing jrny fans like a mini Toomey for a while.

Cain and Toomey had a shit fit about it, telling Neal he had "scared off" another singer. Neal sent me an email saying he "didn't expect me to quit so easily." Neal then got Azoff and company to track down Arnel, proving to Cain and Toomey that he could pull off this coup, and then it took about a month to figure out how to get him to US. During that time Neal continued to text me, etc....Finally they got him to the states....Neal was adamant that this was the guy, and Cain at first wasn't so sold on the idea. But he continued to improve and recorded some really good demos of the material we had worked on, and the rest is history.
And that's the straight scoop!

I was one of the ones beating on him. I will say this though, Fyrewings never took a beating that he didn't earn.

I think some of your own fans were guilty of the exact same thing and may have led to some of that "paranoia." It was a crazy time.

Eh. Not as much. My favorites were the JSS fans (I think his road manager that posts here as well) posted unflattering pictures of me from my impressions show about 6 years ago calling me a clown and what a joke Journey was. Well, water under the bridge as it was, to quote a phrase!
