Nah, don't see it at a drive in. Won't be as good. And Wall E's a cool movie.
Yeah, I know. But it keeps us from having to get a sitter. I'll get a good viewing of it the plot and all that at the drive-in. If it's as good as everyone says I'm sure I'll buy it on blu-ray and watch it on my 55' 1080 big screen and Bose acoustimass system which is BETTER than the theater.
Red Wing, I'm not sure how old your boy is, but I'm make good and sure he's crashed if he's a little one. This is one intense film!
But OH MY GOD!!! What a great film...I'd hand Heath Ledger an ocsar right now if it were up to me! And Aaron Eckhart? Brilliant!!! Great movie!
ps- to all the haters who say Heath would only get a nod cause he's no longer with us, and that's the "kinda shit the academy does"? Only ONE posthumous oscar has EVER been given for acting and that was in the 70's (The WELL DESERVED Oscar Peter Benchly got for NETWORK) So the odds are actually against him getting it. I hope he does, cause this performance, to me, is the stuff of legend. And I've been in the acting game for almost 30 years, so I know a little sumpin' bout it, if I do say so myself.

I just watched this last month! It's an exquisitely bad, but good, horror flick. They used real deformed people in the end. Some odd visuals throughout (Beverly DeAngelo, masturbating? Never thought I'd see that)
The ending still bothers me. She got screwed over!

Only two movies have ever given me nightmares - The Exorcist and Burnt Offerings. And both were very long ago.
Wow, I thought I was the only one who felt that way about Burnt Offerings. I saw it as a kid and to this day I think about it. I never watched it again. I DVR'd it about a month ago to show my kids, who love scary movies. But then I decided against t and deleted it before watching. I can't wait to see Dark Knight.

Care to explain, without divulging many spoilers?

Just found it too preachy and too long. Instead of the audience being allowed to "get it", everything was explained in minute detail. It should have been a half hour shorter. Plus there are other things that would be spoilers, so I won't go into them here.

Heath Ledger RAN AWAY with that movie. My god but he was awesome!!!!
That made me all the more sad that he couldn't be here to see it or enjoy it.RIP, sir.
My one gripe: Christian Bale was not shirtless enough.![]()
The two times he took the mofo off, they cut away. Me and Rhi was pizzed uff.

Yes, Ledger was incredible, but it was like Tom Brady playing with high school kids. He stood out too much.

To ME, and to everyone else - this should be a very illogical statement. It has nothing to do with the Academy NOT wanting to award a posthumous award. It has to do with the odds(so far) of an oscar-winning performance, followed by a death. Odds DO NOT come into play here.
