Little River Band is special to me, not only for their music; but their keyboard player, Chris Marion, is a friend and neighbor of ours...great guy. Be sure and tell him Bonnie says hello and I wish I could be there.

They are VERY smooth live and very professional and even do some great re-arrangements of the old classics. Not to mention their new material is very good - Test of Time and Where We Started from are both outstanding CDs. Enjoy them!

I have no trouble with bands carrying on with different members...but the LRB is the one exception.
The Doobies still deliver the goods BIG time.

Have you listened to their recent albums? Great stuff. Enjoy BSG for what it is (as well as Goeble's solo albums - the last two were fabulous) and the Full Circle DVD is incredible. But I really like the current LRB's output/live show as well - the music is bigger than the band members for me 99% of the time.
Honestly, one of the few things I wouldn't see is Journey without Neal and probably Rush without the original three. Can't think of too many bands where I wouldn't at least give another line-up a chance.

You gotta check out the studio albums... Test of Time is fantastic, Where We Started From is very good, and the Rearranged CD has some cool rearrangements of LRB classics (and a few from the two albums mentioned here). Test of Time has a pretty strong melodic rock feel to me... much more so than most of the old LRB output. I think you'd like it.

Then you haven't liked them since they started with John Rutsey (R.I.P.) on drums? If you mean you wouldn't see them without the current three, I agree with you.
