my point is the album is impressive. like i said "i think revelation is impressive with or without getting platinum"
Agreed
The sad thing is with the exception of After all these years, People at the show I went to still tend to sit or get quiet during the new songs. Everybody still wants to hear the songs from the eighties and wouldn't even miss it if the band didn't play any thing from 1988 forward.
True but even the 80's songs were 'new' at some point. The new stuff will catch on if they keep putting it our there
The casual J fans that I know here and those that went to their concert up at the Lake all said they bought Revelations to hear Arnel sing the re-recorded hits. They had no interest in listening to the new songs.
That's odd. You would think that people would be as interested, if not more interested in the new stuff that they've not heard yet. In my situation, I wanted to hear the new stuff more. A matter of fact, I've not even played the re-recordings CD or the DVD that came in the new album yet, and I purchased this thing when it was pretty fresh out on the shelves in the store. I have however played the heck out of the cd with all the new tracks on it though.
Yeah, there are many facets to the J fandom. I just think those casual fans that went to the concert to check out Arnel liked him and wanted to hear more of Arnel singing those hits that SP originated. They're not the devoted kind that hangs around messageboards, though.
