DrFU wrote:Past midnight and Deb's still out partying w/ rockers ... I'm toasted, so I guess the update's on me tonight.
Day started with me setting off the fire alarm in our Manchester Hotel by spraying too much of Mimi's industrial strength hairspray; seriously, this happened, Deb's got it on video. Train to Nottingham was quite the adventure with 3 changes in a two hour journey, but we made it.
Hotel is literally around the corner from the Firefest venue & the place is littered w/ rock stars ... and Wombats, radio personalities, and assorted Journey/JSS/SA fans from both boards. Dinner w/ Pam, Pam, Maria, & Sandy, and then off to the meet & greet that was held at The Rig, a club next to Rock City, which is the main Firefest venue. Got the t-shirs and programs, listened to Drew's new duo Beggars & Thieves (who sounded really good), spotted Danny Vaughn & some of the Danger Danger guys, fought the crowd for a while, and that was it for me; jet lag has caught up.
Thanks, Matt, for the time change info.; that was helpful.
A couple of pics below; I'm sure Drew and some of the others have more to add ...

We started the day. With a bang when we joined for breakfast by the Wombat himself. After that, the day was pretty uneventful..........hehe
Talon started it off with bang singing songs from their new album "Fallen Angels".
Loud and Clear is the surprise talent for me. We had an acoustic teaser at the meet and greet last night and vowed to not miss that show today. Wow. Jess Harnell is a consumate performer and entertainer with a voice that won't quit. Wow
We went to lunch and walked in on a huge ovation for Paul Laine. Maybe we shouldn't have skipped that. Matt will gave to help us with that one.
Hugo and valentine had the whole house singing every word! Amazing.

JSS's setlist looks great. I would love to hear Broken Man and Gin and Tonic Sky live.
