I love Aretha and other's listed, can't say I agree with this.............
The article says that other musicians were polled of their top 20 picks and the results were tabulated by an accounting firm, but it doesn't specify how many people were polled or if only other well known musicians were polled.... I guess that will be spelled out in the article when the issue comes out.Michigan Girl wrote:Blueskies wrote:http://music.yahoo.com/read/news/61852568

I edited the thread title..it actually says, " greatest singer in the rock era", so that was my mistake.conversationpc wrote:Blueskies wrote:http://music.yahoo.com/read/news/61852568

Only maybe two of those listed are rock singers. You've got to be kidding me.

Eh...That still indicates the list should be made up of rock singers. Otherwise, you would have opera guys in there, too.
Good point, I'm a bit confused to what they mean by that as well..either in rock or all singers of any genre within the time of rock and roll.conversationpc wrote:Blueskies wrote:I edited the thread title..it actually says, " greatest singer in the rock era", so that was my mistake.conversationpc wrote:Blueskies wrote:http://music.yahoo.com/read/news/61852568

Staggering around unbathed, with soiled pants and more drugs inside of you than a fuckin' Walgreens doesn't equate to much in my books. That dude was a fuckin' solitary weirdo and though I don't condone his murder I sure as fuck don't miss him, either.
i agree dicker, she is a big old pig,and a bitch to work with. She refused to go on one night cause the AC was turned on.She should have been glad.No one would have to smell her big funky ass, yuck .... oo..She has cheese in her armpitsTito wrote:She wins because she probably ate half the singers out there.

Saint John wrote:Steve Perry should be at the top of that list.
Fuck that fat bastard. Perry could sing circles around that dude. Let's hear Elvis sing Mother, Father. Perry, in his prime, could sing anything Elvis ever did. Fuck, he probably still could. And he wouldn't gyrate like a fuckin' giant dildo, either.Enigma869 wrote:Saint John wrote:Steve Perry should be at the top of that list.
As much of a Perry guy that I am, the only name that belongs at the top of that list is Elvis. There will NEVER be another musician as significant as Elvis, in ANY generation. Whether you like the guy or not, his impact on the entire music world can never be denied.
