And Barry made it perfectly clear that he was retiring. Perry has never indicated as much, and if he truly has retired he did so
nowhere near the top. Are you telling me that his swan song was that high school gym tour with half-ass musicians (relative to Journey)? Or was it the TBF debacle and not touring in support of the album? The man hardly went on on top if he's done. In fact, relative to their "hey day" his exit was quite unimpressive.

You're kidding, right? Check out FTLOSM and those Against The Wall wrist slitters. Not to mention that TBF showcased him as 3rd best with Smitty and Schon stealing the show on the entire CD. Perry had become 3rd best and a tour would have only proven that. Whcih is
exactly why he should have let Journey move on gracefully with Chalfant and Rolie, but he chose the low road, put 2 guys out of work (something he's become quite good at), stalled Journey again, and put them right back to square one. No one ever said the man was dumb.
