Rhiannon wrote:A different collection of songs than the previous GH? What other GH did he have? There's only so many ways you can make meatloaf and try to pass it off as salisbury steak.

Sadly, that's not how the labels think. Fans of the band Chicago were treated to annual "greatest hits + two great new songs" derivatives in the 1990s and 2000s. It's resulted in a situation now where the first 20 Chicago albums are legitimate albums and legitimate greatest hits made up of the hits from those albums. Since then, you've got
21 - Studio album
22 - Cover album
23 - Greatest Hits compilation
24 - Greatest Hits compilation
25 - Cover album
26 - Live album
27 Greatest Hits compilation
28 Greatest Hits compilation
29 Greatest Hits compilation
30 Studio album
31 Greatest Hits compilation
32 Studio album
I've seen it all from labels. Same album, different cover. Original album + a few new songs thrown on. Original album renamed with a few new tunes.
Labels will milk till the end.
