He was giving me props on my tunes and said he really liked them. Told me to "keep up the good work", and said have a great day. He's not on my friends list, and I guess he just stumbled on my site. How cool is that???What a great way to start the day out! Sorry....just had to share.

Ehwmatt wrote:BTW Jim, I've gotta ask, is this still you on vocals for some of these songs currently on your MySpace? If so, fuck man, you sound plenty good. I'm really digging the harmonies. Very organic sounding.

I wish!I'd love to be able to sing lead like that. I'm not singing lead on any of the songs on my site that are on there now. I sing all but the highest harmony on "Just No Way", all the backing vocals on "Losing You", and several other backing vocals scattered over the other songs.
All of my songs have big harmonies, and I wouldn't have it any other way! The main thing I try to accomplish with each of them, is to try to have some kind of catchy hook in the chorus, and stack the hell out of the vocals. I'm also huge on guitar solos, and you'll be hearing those soon. So far I've been pretty much a one-man-band but that's about to change for the better! Thanks for the friend request by the way!

Hey Jim, did he hit you up with a sales pitch about a pedal system he is hawking! I and a few others have been getting e-mails from him with compliments, along with this sales pitch for a pedal holder that really seems pretty useless. Anyways your songs are great as always, best of luck!

Just No Way is a big guitar solo away from having been a hit 25 years ago. I'm LOVING that song.

Thanks man, I really appreciate it. Believe it or not...that was the very first song I ever completed! Until then, I'd only come up with cool choruses, hooks or verses, but could never finish a song.
I really don't like that version of it, and I'm going to completely re-record it from scratch with a different lead singer. If you look at my downloads that are for sale, you can hear a clip from the original country version I recorded back in '03. Much different!

He DID mention his foot pedal to me. Damn...there's a sucker born every minute! Thanks for bursting my bubble Eric.

Oh well, at least some people are liking the tunes. I'm with you on the pedal holder too. I sent him a message and suggested he make a double holder but space the pedals apart by about 3 inches. I wouldn't want one that holds the damn pedals right next to eachother....I've got some big-ass feet!
