Bi-polar mental illness, differs for each person that suffers from it ; your friend may process stress differently than this girl does. By the way mental illness is nothing to joke about. One of the prime reasons people who suffer such ailments try to hide it and live in denial, this is a prime exsample of how people who don't understand mental illness treat and respond toward people afflicted with mental ailments.ProgRocker53 wrote:TRAGChick wrote:ProgRocker53 wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RvPBDfh4Tjg

Sad.I have a friend with "bi-polar disorder" and when he's off his medication he doesn't act even a tenth this ridiculous. People disgust me, really.
It is sad, most bi-polar people want so much to feel normal and taking medication sometimes dly, bid, or qid is hard for them to accept because they want to believe that they are not ill, that poor girl was on the manic side and very dangerous to herself and others.TRAGChick wrote:ProgRocker53 wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RvPBDfh4Tjg

Refusing to take proper medications and self medicating with street drugs and alcohol is a primary problem we have with bi-polar people. They think those two things will make them feel normal when it only makes them more out of control and dangerous, that elderly lady did exactly the right thing she did not inflame the situation thus causing the girl to become even more agitated which could have easily moved from yelling , ranting and manic gestering to possible physical violence. We can thank the gov. and the deep cuts in mental health funding for inccidents like this, you would not believe the number of people with this type of illnesses that or roaming the american streets without proper medication and counseling or hospitalization; because we in the medical field can't get the funding to properly treat these people.G.I.Jim wrote:This makes me sick to see that punk-ass bitch getting in that poor old ladies face like that! 20 years ago, everyone on that train would have pulled her sorry ass away from that lady. These fucking dumbasses just sit there and watch! If I was there, I wouldn't have hit her, but that bitch would've been getting the fuck out of dodge.
What a stupid bitch!!!

No! but I work with people like this girl everyday that's my job my friend to care for the people others can't or won't care for. I have held my license for many years and have cared for many mentally ill people, The one that hurt me the most was the case where the family locked the person in a dog pen with the dogs before that person was found and placed in the facility that I worked at. We grew to love that person our little star.G.I.Jim wrote:annpea wrote:And you have possibly seen her medical records and done a lab workup on her right?Rick wrote:bluejeangirl76 wrote:You know... that video honestly makes me kinda miss my train rides.
