I did. We just differ.
I go to a concert to hear incredible vocals and really couldn't care less about stage presence, and
you obviously go to see incredible stage presence
and couldn't care less about incredible vocals. That's the equivalent of picking Barnum and Bailey over Phantom Of The Opera when it comes to the fine arts.

Wrong. All three of my faves have great voices and can emote like nobody's business. But I guess you didn't understand the question, he wasn't asking who had the most incredible vocals, he was asking about showmanship/stage presence ya friggin boogernugget!

And I'm proposing that Perry's
ability to sing in a way that had the emotions of the listener in the palm of his hand trumps the one-hit and no-hit artists you've named. I think in
this case, beyond
any shadow of a doubt, the proof is in the numbers. 2 of your 3 "emoters" don't have the
stage presence to even tour the
bar circuit domestically. Kind of puts your over-the-top emphasis on stage presence in perspective, wouldn't you say?

Exactly, a perfect example of delivering a song with such passion that the singer is visibly spent by the end of the song (this one reminds me a little of Mother Father)........you know they've given 110%
= emoting! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0swL7jihXd4
But once again, that wasn't the question. I don't like like Springsteen or Jagger's voices on that list, but there's no denying they are great "frontmen". And believe me, I'm all about the vocals/emoting. There is just something special that r&b/soul influenced rock singers bring to the table.
But whatever, lets just quit this dance now, neither one is going to budge on this.
