Ravens defense is tough enough as it is. No need for sloppy mistakes and careless handling of the football. Stick a fork in the fins, Cinderella's over.

Miami looked good early. 5 care-less turnovers. Can NOT play football with handing over the football the way they did, atleast make them earn it.

Congrats Dan, nice pick

Bring it on, Tango.

Wow...welcome to the bandwagon. As you can see..the view is lovely!

18-10 or 11-10 all it means is that, like the Colts...the Bolts play the Stillers tough.

May the best team win! Pocket Hercules wears #43 and he's a midget assassin.

Not on any bandwagon dude. Just call them as I see them. I still think Tomlinson is a complete fucking embarrassment and the Chargers are lucky they have that little midget Sproles willing to show up for the big games that Tomlinson can't bring himself to play in. I just don't think Pittsburgh's offense can score the points it will take to beat the Chargers. If the forecast calls for snow and 10 degrees, my opinion will immediately change, because the Chargers simply will not win a game in those conditions.

Perhaps not, but who will cover Gates? That guy is a physical speciman.

LOL at Tavares Jackson.

Is there a worse QB in the NFL aside of Brady Quinn? This guy is a piece of work. Stupid, no arm, and no brains...yeah, that equals greatness.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Ed Reed for putting a ton of dough back into my pocket. I was buried and he and the Ravens got me out. :)

I hope history repeats itself, because Gates was invisible.

Lets break down last games matchup between the two teams.

Passing
B. Roethlisberger 31/41 308 0 0
P. Rivers 15/26 164 0 2

Rushing
W.Parker 25 attempts 115 yards
L. Tomlinson 18 attempts 57 yards 1 TD
P. Rivers 1 attempt 5 yards
D. Sproles 1 attempt 0 yards

Receiving
H. Ward PIT 11 receptions 124 yards
S. Holmes PIT 5 receptions 63 yards
M. Spaeth PIT 6 receptions 55 yards
L.T SD 3 receptions 45 yards
A. Gates 2 receptions 10 yards

Defense

Pittsburgh 2 turnovers, 2 sacks
San Diego 0 turnovers, 5 (total) sacks

Kicking:
Reed PIT 3/4 long 41
Kaeding SD 1/2 long 22

Total yards:
Pittsburgh 410
San Diego 218

Penalties
Pittsburgh 13- 115
San Diego 2-5

The Stillers had their way with San Diego ALL GAME LONG, but when you have 115 yards of total penalties to the opponents 2 for 5, the game will SURE ENOUGH BE CLOSE THAN IMAGINED.

The real game will be Pittsburgh @ Tennessee in the Title Game. Bank on it.

Ditto..that's day time temperature. Kickoff at 4:15 and the game will move considerably through night time temps, so it could very well hit about 14 degrees by games end! I'll be in the house, screamin' my face, hair, and lungs out.

I am a life long Viking and Charger fan. I expected nothing but failure today. They need a quarterback, I would have played gus. Peterson is over rated.

And I agree with who ever said LT is a pussy for always being on the sidelines during the playoffs. Guy is like Peterson. Chester Taylor (MN) and Sprole (SD) do all the work then peterson or LT come in for the two yard rushing TD AND THE INTERVIEW AFTER THE GAME.

mINNESOTA DESERVED TO LOOSE THIS GAME. tHEIR DEFENSE WANTED IT BUT THE OFFENSE sucked worse that Detroit did all season long.

Fox Sports had a nice little blurb about LT.

"In other words, the playoffs are here, and once again Tomlinson is not. Maybe this is a new Chargers tradition. Perhaps, if the bookmakers knew L.T. would sit most of the game, they'd have made San Diego the favorite."

Yes, and I think Miami is a FAR better matchup for Pittsburgh, so that's who you should be pulling for. Now that I know it's over 80 degrees in Miami today, I am thinking Miami is going to give Baltimore all they can handle. I still think Baltimore wins a close game though.

Miami was an easy win, as expected. Tennessee should be a close win, and the Steelers-Ravens will be a game for the ages.

Me too.

The Chargers record against Pittsburgh for the month of January is 2 wins & zero losses.

Both of those wins were in Pittsburgh. :)

Giants to win and Ravens to beat the Titans.
alternate picks just for fun..
Cards to upset the Panthers...and Steelers to whip on the Chargers...
but damn to beat the Colts with the way the Chargers did that... Chargers have a chance.

Well, I guess you can look at 2 different kinds of history.

History of 15 years ago or history of Weeks prior of the same two teams meeting in the same season. (One where Pittsburgh dominated in all phases of football)

For your case, it's 2 and done

Scoreboard was 11-10 that last game.
Despite the low score, and the lack of a Steelers touchdown, this was a dominant performance by both the Steelers offense and their defense. It was just an odd game that ended up with an odd score.

How can you be dominant and still be in a position to lose a game?

Couple plays are the difference and I recall 94. Your defense was even better that whole game and only gave up 2 big plays. Just 2...of course they were long TD's but man, that 94 Pitt D had stars all over the place.

Deja Vu...it could happen.

I don't think you understand that the scoreboard was completely flawed, and there was a reason why the 11-10 score was the first in NFL history.

I'm not sure if you watched the game, but I remember it vividly, plus I was in the house.

Take stat VS stat. You'd think the score should of easily been Pittsburgh winning by 3 touchdowns. If you watched the game, you know that the Steelers threw San Diego around ALL GAME LONG and it was complete domination from start to finish.

Again, when you have 13 penalties for 115 yards, and your opponent has 2-5 yards, it's hard for any team to maintain drives and score any points for that matter. Field position is big in any football game, and the outweighing of penalties forced the group to kick at a long field and give SD short fields the majority of the game.. but it didn't matter because the NFL leader in passer rating, finished with a horrid 44.4.

As in '94, JFB can say it best that, that was a compete fraud of a win and they responded in Champion fashion by getting blown out in the Superbowl by SanFran in one of the most lopsided, slaughtering loss in SB history.

It'll be 18 degrees by kickoff. I like my teams chances, BIG, or else I wouldn't gloat this much.

I lived in NoCal at the time and remember that vividly. SD gave up the fastest two touch downs in Superbowl history and Young threw for 6 touchdown passes (another SuperBowl Record). Junior Seau said they didn't even know what hit them. Everyone assumed Steve Young would choke from the pressure of being in Joe Montana's shadow, but he surprised a lot of people that day.
