OT: SHOULD JOURNEY RECORD THIS?

FLTOSM is just a mess. Cain and Perry in the same room could create magic. Apart they both leave something to be desired. Bringing in Blades helped the songwriting department for Journey. But when it's just Neal and John only. Well, hit songs aren't necessarily well written ones. I agree that Perry, Cain, and Schon together can create far greater music than any single one of them. But I also believe the duo collaboration with just Schon and Cain yields much more impressive lyrics than Perry alone; he had an army of songwriters at his command and didn't produce shit. Honestly, Cain's diarrhea is better than the majority of FtLoSM.

Street Talk did alright, I believe Perry had three top 40 hits off of that effort. It's just a matter of who is in that cluster of writers. And Perry did get a Gammy nod for Don't fight it, which he wrote. If he can write without all that mental anguish shit he seemed to be going though during FTLOSM, he might be able to turn out something decent.

Street Talk was launched at a time when Perry could capitalize off of Journey's success and the songs that got radio play were styled to sound like Journey.

voted no, i like this song but Journey music are more about love, hope and inspirations and PIMH lyrics are just the opposite not their's style of music

Jana, that is the reason why i became a Journey fan when i heard their music, for me it doesn't matter who sing it, all Journey's lead singer were great and talented in their own way, it's their music that gave me hope and inspiration and became a part of my life.

I think Pain in my heart is okay, arnel sound good like always but the song for me is a little monotonous..so, i voted No; is not the type of ballad i will like that Journey play in the future. Saludos!
