Pretty much says it all right there. You're saying that he had a right to decide to end Journey...a band that pre-dated him? I think the Journey gig was a mutually beneficial endeavor. An artist that had all but given up was coaxed into giving it one more try and he took a somewhat struggling band and provided the missing ingredient. The man's exit was simply void of class, unlike that of Gregg Rolie.I know.madsplash wrote: They were all holding on to his tux tails and grabbing all of the money and fame that HE brought them, and then later had the balls to complain about something that THEY wanted to happen. He could have ditched them long before he did and lit up the charts with albums like Against The Wall and For The Love Of Strange Medicine.
No, he could have recorded chart busters with Jan Hammer and Hardline.![]()
No, I dug Bad English. Just another example of Neal and Jon riding the coat tails of a great singer/frontman, John Waite. It's cool for them to do that. They've gotten to be quite the professionals at it. They're talented SIDEMEN who need direction. It's cool.Rick wrote:Yep. Good post by madsplash though. I think he's figured out how to win this place over.
Disregard.
And to think I listened to you.
It's amazing how fast things change. Messageboards.
But Rick, I'll be devistated by you're change of heart. How can I go on?
