You are known over here, and someone brought up your name just a few minutes ago during the ride home. They really like ya! :)

And be sure to tell them what a true loser-dork I actually am. :)

Awmygosh.

Is that in a good or bad way? :D

It's good... I heart Ripster!

Now What If? What if Rip was there in a Journey rehearsal and they allowed him to sing a paragraph with the band. Now that would be the ultimate thing. He would probably die on the spot out of sheer awesomeness.

There's no doubt, I'd drop dead of a coronary right on the spot. Rip probably gets a little less awestruck than I do, so he'd probably eat it up and knock them dead.

Rip the News Media star as well  :D

Rip Rokken, an American fan of Pineda came all the way from Houston, Texas, with his friends just to watch Pineda’s homecoming show with Journey in Manila. He told BUSINESSMIRROR after the concert, “Arnel’s like a double underdog success story. His personal one is the stuff of classic Journey songs like “Don’t Stop Believin’”, from struggling to support his family to being chosen to sing for one of the most recognizable classic rock bands around. But he’s kept his humility, and is still a nice and very approachable guy.”

Asked why he came all the way from the US, he said, “Arnel goes a long way for us fans, and now it’s our turn to go a long way for him. This is his time, his moment, and I wouldn’t be any other place in the world right now but to see him enjoy it!”

Actually, I told them what a sweetheart you were, and also one of my best MR friend. They'd brought up another board where you were really unfairly attacked, and just know that little hit-job never resonated with them. They saw it for what it was -- calculated, overblown, and unfair.

Rip is probably the nicest guy I've ever met. Drop him off in Afghanistan and he'd have the fucking Taliban listening to Dokken in about 45 minutes...with his head still intact.

You're a stand-up man, Rip. Wish I could've been along for the fun, glad you had such a wonderful time... and sounds like you had some quality company as well. Safe travels home..! You still visiting in August for Journey to the Cure, right?

Pffft. Those are the best kind.

Never said they weren't, and not just for the concertgoer.
Heisenberg wasn't just right, he was 100% right: none of Journey's current bandmembers are golems.
Communal, adrenal distortion is the whole fucking point to concertgoing, otherwise we'd just
play CD's or DVD's for far less money spent.

So... let me try again
Uplifting perceptional distortion being the whole point to concertgoing, how can ANY concertgoer's review
escape the stay-at-homes' accusations of being... well, distorted? How can the stay-at-homes' nitpicking technical analyses
of every performance flub escape the giddy fans' accusations of being distorted by the LACK of live observation?

Remember, the Led Zep tribute gig at the O2 was awesome to concertgoers, but many of those checking it out on YouTube clips
thought it was unfit for committing to DVD.

As I said (what Monimus said): All is opinion.
My opinion on the Manila concert is that I wouldn't mind shelling out even more cash if Journey ever comes back,
and I just don't spend twice on anything that leaves me unhappy or unsatisfied.

Some people can get away with saying much more, in detailed "reviews", without having crazy shit thrown at them
by the dimwitted and the weak of comprehension. I'm saying I haven't been so lucky so far, and I find that it's chiefly
a matter of my being Filipino and Arnel being a Filipino.

Cheers,
wech.

PS: Kudos to Rip for his responses under media fire, LOL.
