The Manning memo is the leaked British memo where Bush discussed painting US military crafts to look like UN planes and sending them into Iraq's no fly zone to start a war.

The marketplace should dictate how much a person makes in his or her given profession, not the government.

You can't invoke Adam Smith nostrums when the company is already 80% nationalized.

I have no idea who Adam Smith is, and I don't have time to go find out. (I also don't really care who he is.) If the government wants to get into the day-to-day running of AIG, fine. If they want to negotiate new contracts with AIG employees, that's OK too. They CANNOT go in the way-back machine and undo the contracts already made and take back the money paid out to those employees. I think the tax on those employees will be deemed unconstitutional as well, but we'll see.
I do not agree that the government has any right to dictate what is a reasonable income for any non-government position. If a person can go out and find a job that includes a million-dollar bonus, good for him or her.

Towards the end of his approximately 40-minute appearance, the president talked about how he's gotten better at bowling and has been practicing in the White House bowling alley.

He bowled a 129, the president said.

"That's very good, Mr. President," Leno said sarcastically.

It's "like the Special Olympics or something," the president said.

When asked about the remark, the White House said the president did not intend to offend.

So I'm guessing his teleprompter didn't make it to the Leno show? What a crass asshole he really is.
