Damn right they are! hahaha - I'm kidding, of course they are not, however in this case Adam Lambert will surely become one, after the show... wait and see.

whether he wins or not, the guy should win and everyone knows it.
the haters can suck it!

That's it! I couldn't put my finger on it - thank you (and I still think a little bit of Elvis too)
Ftloperry wrote:Adam tonight sounded like Adam Sandler doing the "Turkey Song" to me.I thought that the 16 year old that did "Papa was a Rolling Stone" was the best performer of the night. The rest were not up to snuff at all.
SP Fan in Oregon wrote:Adam was in a league of his own tonight, a star performer, and I like his new look.
While watching tonight I visualized Steve Perry standing in Smokey Robinson's place later this season, Steve working with each singer
on their Journey song. I felt that Adam would be the one to shine on that night because he can hit those Perry high notes.
You know with Randy as a Judge on American Idol that he must have asked Steve to participate this way, and I think when Perry's friends
ask him to do something that is reasonable he does it. You get someone like Smokey Robinson doing what he did tonight, it isn't beneath
Steve Perry to do it either. I really feel we are going to see it this season, I'm predicting that is going to happen, but only Madsplash knows for sure.

Umm, no, he shouldn't win in my books.
From the youtubes that I've seen and in my opinion, he is pitchy in regular range and cannot control his falsetto as well as he should.

The "Randy Jackson is going to get Steve Perry to be on Idol" rumors/hopes have been flying for years now. Every Idol season, like clockwork.
People assume (or rather, people think wishfully) that just because of Randy's Journey stint, that Perry is going to show up on Idol. I wish I had a buck for every time I've seen that come up over the last few years. I'd be a freakin' zillionaire.

I understand that, but just because it HASN"T happened, that means that it CAN'T possibly happen, right? Just like the new album. Just because it hasn't doesn't mean it's not going to. I don't care if it's been 15 years or a trillion rumors, doesn't mean it won't happen.
Patience and positivity.

That part I will grant you. That line of thinking can be applied to anything, really. So yes... just because something hasn't happened doesn't mean it can't or won't.
Its just strange to me how people connected to Steve Perry, even in the most remote ways, always seem to get dragged into all the rumors and wishes and hopes for no other reason than their past or limited present connection. That's the part I was picking at. The conclusions people jump to are just plain ridiculous sometimes. For years now it's been "Randy knows Steve = Steve is going to be on Idol".

I get what you're saying, but if there is new stuff being done, as we've all pretty much agreed that there is, wouldn't now make more sense to start creating a buzz, rather than the last several years when there was nothing coming up to try and get going?
I'm betting something else happens this season on AI, involving SP.

You're right about that. It certainly would make for good PR to get a buzz going if something is a definite go.
But no one credible has been buzzing, now, have they? Its basically April already, so if the madsplash timeline is to be believed, there should already be credible buzz, guest spots, maybe interviews. If not already than certainly very soon.
