I'm sure I'll come out smelling like SOMETHING! I'm as confident as ever. Staying positive.

This board is much more active when you're around, Deano. No BS kinda guy. People know where they stand with you.
If someone babbles too much garbage, you come in and shut them down. Great stuff.

At this exact time, Jubilee, behshad, gideon, Deacon, BJG, and Airhead are all PM ing back and forth, huddling up to destroy us. It's so pathetic.

They will never win MS, never.

Leave me out of that one, man. Just because I receive the PMs, does not mean I return the favor and get in on the drama. I do not.

I may reply to people out of courtesy, but I ignore whatever part of their PM is bitching about things.

But Dean, even if Perry does release an album, explain how and why Madsplash gets any kind of credit? Come out smelling like a rose why? He hasn't done anything but run his mouth.

And I'm not arguing with you, Dean, I'm honestly asking.

The guy says he knows something. Everyone including me at first, jumped his shit. I changed my POV, but you along with everyone else continues to pile in Splash.

My complaint wasn't that he didn't know something or that he was wrong. My point all along was the way he comes across, not what he's saying. He didn't seem to get why people jumped on him and I (and a lot of others) explained exactly why, and that brought out even more of a bad attitude. That's all.

Exactly. BJG is right on the money.

Come on, Deano. I acknowledged that I believed he knew someone and that Perry was recording, as I had found the Rob Dickinson article last year in August and he said he worked on songs with Perry. So it made sense. Many on here said they believed him but were tired of his obnoxiousness over and over.

And, for me, things like a Randy Jackson promo with American Idol that showed Randy and only a split second of Perry and Splashy is acting like he had insider knowledge on that and that it was a Perry promo, how high school. We can all say if he's putting out a new album, there's a chance of an appearance on AI. But Splashy has to insert himself into a nonstory. This need to be self-important in other stories on Perry is what irritates people, not that they don't believe him on working on new material.

Just my "pathetic" two cents.

Look, if Splash runs his mouth, he better produce some results. He gave a timeline, which seems reasonable, and if the news bears him out, he will have cashed the check that his big mouth wrote. That is calling your shot, hence the guy will get some instant cred. The same thing happened to me in my early years here. I made some claims, some thought very outlandish, and they proved to be correct. Of course I didn't hit on all my claims, but I hit on a high pct of them. If Splash can be proven right, then he should be given mad props. It won't be Splash any more, but maybe Wave. Madwave, because he is going to flood this board with smack, and I for one want to see it.

Question for you Dean - 'back in the day' when you were making these claims, if someone said 'I'd like to believe you, but I'm going to wait for something more concrete than just your say so' did you refer to those people as negative? As naysayers? Did you go out of your way to belittle those who didn't jump on your bandwagon?

You see, I have no issue with Madsplash, or anyone else, jumping into a debate with someone who disagrees with them, if they have a further argument to add. But Madsplash has argued with people who agreed with him, for heaven's sake, because they didn't salivate all over the information he has. Moreover, he can't seem to understand (and I don't get why you seem to be backing him in this assertion) that NO ONE is saying he is wrong, all they are saying is they will wait for more reliable confirmation before getting their hopes up for a new release.

So I'll say it to you again (because unlike Madsplash, you might actually get it) - no one has an issue with the content of what he is saying, it's the egotistical, obnoxious, rude, narcissistic way he says it, and his refusal to accept that someone not celebrating his words as fact does not mean they don't want Perry to release a new album. The man seems to have one sole attitude: 'If you aren't for me, you are against me.' It's wearing, it's irritating and it's an old, old act.

If Perry releases an album this year, I will be out there haunting the shop to buy it. If he announces a release at any time, I will be jumping with excitement. But it's going to come from official sources, not from a random selection of 'in the knows', no matter how reliable I believe a few of them to be. Perry will call it, if he calls it, in his own time, not before.

Gosh, SP gifted me w his presence a few months ago.
We talked of diet & life.
He seems very happy & satisfied.
He is also in really good shape.

If he desires to put out an album
kudos to him
I do however feel he is satisfied with life & may not feel the need to dip his toes into the album waters but if he does I wish him the best.
I think he knows he has nothing to prove
anything he does is because he truly wants to do it...

My warmest wishes go out to that man of song who has brought untold joy to all of our lives.

Hey Cheekymonkey, good to see you are still hangin out.. Haven't seen you for a long while on MR. I was just reading through
this thread and wanted to add my appreciation for Madsplash for bringing his information that he got from his sister, who got it from her friend (and I assume that friend is close enough to either Perry
or someone working for or with Perry) that it is reliable information. Otherwise, Madsplash would not be so damn determined that he is right. He must have the goods and is excited about the information
he has. Now we have Deano posting here shoring up Madsplash's prediction. You people just completely missed that didn't you? There are no many non-believers on here, waiting so long for the new Perry CD that when all the signs are pointing to it being ready for release, you all turn your heads in disbelief. I've seen enough that SOMETHIN' IS A COMIN out of SMFP.

Look, most of us know that Madsplash isn't the only one dropping size nines here. It doesn't change the fact that even if Perry is going to release something, some of us prefer to pay the man the respect of letting him make his own damn announcements, and we'll leave our breathlessness for that time. I have never said I disbelieve 'Splash's info, but I have said, many many times, when Perry makes the announcement, then I'll get excited, not before. I've heard the same sorts of things from better sources that I know and trust, and I STILL won't throw a Perry Party until SMFP himself lets the release date be known. I don't particularly like being called names for holding that attitude, and I certainly don't like having to read the same bullshit again and again and again, from a man who seems to be incapable of listening to reason. Fuck, I don't particularly like having to explain the same bullshit again and again and again.

All this drama over someone claiming to know something, others doubting, and a whole host of others thinking that the first has too much attitude... And, woo hoo, I didn't even have to pay for a ticket!

Hey, rumors will abound about all sorts of things, and unlike others, I look forward to things that I'm interested in coming to fruition. It's kind of like being at a casino and watching your winning number coming up and feeling that little rush of adrenaline. Sometimes they don't pan out (in my case, they never do  ), but you can't deny that the anticipation can be a little bit of a charge.

I'm not all hot and bothered about a Perry release, but I would be open to checking it out, if there is something, however, I'm not about to get all indignant and jump all over someone for a rumor. I don't pretend to drool over every post here, but I don't read MS's posts as being arrogant without any provocation, so I don't get where those claims are coming from. I've been on the receiving end of knowing something at one time or another and been made to feel quite defensive by doubters as well. Guess that what's happening here. :::shrug:::

Hey, if SP releases something, good for him; if he doesn't, no biggie either. In the meantime, I'm just enjoying the show and giggling. For all we know, MS is someone that is HUGE in the know (maybe even someone that we'd recognize his/her name -- hey, it could be a she) and this person is creating a bit of a buzz prior to the release on purpose. Hey, for all we know, MS is Perry himself! Not very likely, but in this crazy world, you'd never know... Neal was here... I think. Maybe, just maybe, we will see Perry make his mad splash into the music scene with a killer project later this year.

Or then again, the person could be a total fruit cake and have a complete mental breakdown Image, when all of you burn him/her at the stake for speaking such blasphemy when nothing happens.

'Til then, I'll just sit back and watch the fur fly... Image Image

No one is saying Madsplash is wrong, they are bothered with the way he is saying it. He has been very confrontational at times and has even gone so far as to threaten people who disagree with the way he is saying it. He has toned that down some, and that is good, but I have tried in nice and not so nice ways to get him to just let things happen. He doesn't need to allienate people in the process.

It is nice if he wants to share. Most here want him to be right.

But I don't know him from Adam and I want more official information. When people say this he gets bent out of shape. I and many others have just as many hopes as you do that new music is on its way. If new music is coming...........I say in the words of Mc Cartney.........."Let it be" :D

You can have the swagger, be it small or large, but you better deliver the goods. Once you bring home the bacon, no one can dispute you then.

Bottom line, people don't like your swagger, delivery, attitude, so what. The same folks who criticize you have brought absolutely nothing to the table. They are like the fans, and the people who do bring information here are the players. The fans always criticize moves by the players. Trust me, I know this routine. I have learned one important lesson in my time here at MR. You can't please everyone. I had that mindset- the mindset where I wanted to be everybody's friend, but it's impossible. There are two many different factions to please them all. Brush off the malcontents like Airheadoo, and others. Fuck 'em.
