The album includes their signature song "Dont Stop Believing" and their highest charting single, "Open Arms". Some of my personal favorites off the album include: "Stone in Love", "Whos Crying Now", "Still they Ride", "Dont Stop Believing", and "Mother, Father". This album you can listen to from beginning to end and not be dissapointed. It captures the true Journey sound.

I have to disagree with both statements. Stone in Love is just OK and easily skipped (Sorry BJG) Keep on Running, Lay it Down and Dead or Alive are some of the worst Journey tracks ever. And lastly, the Album with the "true Journey sound" is Infinity.

And I'll disagree with that. The album with the "true Journey sound" would be Frontiers. IMO.

Well, Ill agree that Frontiers is better than Escape as far as tracks.

Disagree...........I saw them play it live and those songs kick butt! Keep on Running is a power fast song that gives Neal plenty of room to show his prowess. I love all the albums for different reasons, but still love the old classics. Perry was a sight to see.

Personally, I understand that Escape is to many fans as the quintessential Journey "rock" album, but though they may not rock as much all the way around, they have rocked far harder in subsequent albums.

6th time, I started to lose interest, and even started to pick holes in the album. Stopped listening to it for a loong time, then started again.
Not my favourite album of Journey's, but one of their best.
