Thank you so much for posting those, Ginger. I like the Deep Groove Nose Letter. It's good to see he has a good sense of humor. :)

Not bad for a kitten puncher, huh? LOL! Lora and Cyndy gave such great interviews. I think they helped make the JF a type of family for the fans. Very personal, very fun, and it made you more connected to the music. I guess that is why I bristle up when someone gives them a hard time. No one worked harder for the fans than those two. Besides the fact they treated everyone with respect, well I guess if deserved........

I knew Lora's voice when I called, and she took care of things right away. She was funny, bright, and made you feel at ease. How many places do you go where people treat you that well? O.K. Lora I am sorry if I have embarrased you or Cyndy, or made you feel uncomfortable by saying all this. It is not my intent. I just think for all those years someone needs to appreciate what you have done. And I am sure many force members remember, and think the world of you two. :D

Look how great those newsletters are? Folks these are the days when computers took up rooms! Before spell check, before computer printers. Lora and Cyndy rock! :D

I'm am just in heaven reading these fabulous newsletters. Thank you to Lora and Cyndy for their work in writing them (back in the day), and
for A4P posting them here. That San Francisco trip sounded delightful. Wouldnt it be fun to recreate parts of that trip again this year? :)

Well, if he'd bite a kitty, he'd definitely punch one, wouldn't he?

Never joined any Journey fan clubs 'cause I was in my 20's by then and too old to be into that stuff.

I've heard this many times from many people over the years and I still don't understand it. You are basically letting your age define what you do. I joined my first fan club when I was 12 (The Beatles) and I joined Journey Force at the ripe old age of 26. I have been in many fan clubs through the years and at 56, I am a card carrying member of the Vince Gill Fan Club. I enjoy showing support for my favorite artists, interacting with like-minded fans, and the other perks fan clubs offer. I don't see it as an 'age' thing at all.

Thanks for all the kind words and for sharing your collection, Ginger. Those definitely were the good ol' days. We did much of the work on typewriters - I hand-typed every, single Journey Force card. Yikes. I still remember when CP got her first Mac and I told her "those things aren't here to stay."

It's a shame the music industry has changed so much and most artists just aren't interested in taking care of their fans the way Journey did. It was a lot of work and expensive, but they built a very loyal fan base because of it.

Fully agree! Nothing funner than rockin' out at a LIVE show with like-minded friends! You're only as old as ya feel! :D.

And thanks a bunch Ginger for taking the time to share some of your JF newsletters.

I supported my favorite singers/bands by buying their records, tapes, or CD's...sometimes one of each so that's supporting them in triplicate. Before the prices got so high, I went to concerts.

You wrote something completely fucking stupid (like I did a few days ago). Retract it, re-explain it or shut the fuck up. But quit coming up with dumber and dumber explanations trying to spin your way out of it.

SinJin, you should change your name 'cause you're not a "saint".

I think fan clubs are basically for kids...I joined one when I was 12. I, also, have never seen the point of asking people for their autograph and have never done it.

I don't think my opinion is stupid and I will not retract it!

There was no parallel to the efforts the band and you guys did to make things so great for the fans! LOL! I remember you even tried to get the quilt on a news show, and the reporter stopped Tim short of talking about it. It was still in the background and that was so nice. Who has it by the way? I have been so curious..........Last I heard it was HH. I wish now I had specified it go to you two. You worked so hard to help make it happen. You deserved it most......... :D

What PF said. Love to hear all those stories with SP&Journey. My biggest regret is missing it all when I was in the prime of my life.

And, A4P, that card from SP is so cool! Love how he always signs his name -- making the top of the "S" like his nose ... with the right slashes to make a face. Just too cute.

Hi, Indi ... lol ... the first time I saw how he signs his name, I fell in love with him (strictly platonic speaking, of course). Knew he had a wicked sense of humor  . That is how I see it, anyway... if that's not supposed to be his face, excuse the conclusion.

Hey Annie, is that a proud mamma moment going on in your avatar?
Why treat life as a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in an attractive & well-preserved body? Get there by skidding in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, body totally worn out, screaming WOOHOO! What a ride!
