Yea its at the VanAndel Its a great place. You probably are talking about Lamar Park in Wyoming Ive been to a few outdoor concerts there. They are trying to clean up Division Ave but its still the local Hooker hangout.Fact Finder wrote:Is this at Van Andel? How is that place? It wasn't there when we lived in Grand Rapids in '86-'88. (44th and Breton)
I remember going to see CSN at some kind of Frontier Park in Wyoming or some shit. Sat on bleachers. Fab Thunderbirds too. Is Division Street still gnarly?
Yep I just had Mr.Burger Bacon Cheeseburger a couple nights ago. Pietros is still around Good stuff.Fact Finder wrote:KDOUBLEU wrote:Yea its at the VanAndel Its a great place. Yeah, Lamar sounds right. So long ago. I liked Mr. Burger, are they still around? And the place on 28th, Piatros or something?
Actually you can do that almost anytime now 28th street is pretty much a ghost town. They built a huge mall In Grandville and took all the business away from 28th street They even closed up the Movie Theater. Pretty sad.Fact Finder wrote:KDOUBLEU wrote:Yep I just had Mr.Burger Bacon Cheeseburger a couple nights ago. Cool. We liked GR. Had one of our 3 babies up there in '87. It was a quick 3 year stop during life and then back to Ohio.
Can you still lay down and roll over 28th street on a Sunday morning because everyone is at church and there is no traffic?
We used to joke about that for some reason.

Wow. 28th was the place in '86. Everything was there. The Mall and East Beltway was just built. Grandville was a good ride west on what, 44th or 52nd back then. I don't remember. I know we loved going to Ada Park with the kids out 28th east.

That sucks, especially if they're not even big Journey fans and just got free tickets.Hopefully, not the case. Maybe your sis will switch off for a song or so and let you enjoy a closer view.
My sister called me this morning I thought she was going to tell me her friend got me some VIP passes all she wanted to tell me was that her friend told her he was giving some passes away at 5:00 on his show You just had to be the 5th caller. How in the hell did she think that was going to help me.?steveo777 wrote:Jana wrote:KDOUBLEU wrote:Just found out my Sister and my Niece got VIP passes and front row tickets.
