Lula wrote:thanks for sharing your experiences, donna. i did not want to type out the personal experiences i've had with insurance not covering something because the end results have been significant losses in my life. sometimes i'd rather not get into debate when it's too personal of an experience to make my point. i went with "suckie" lol.

Well, my mom's case is certainly personal, but it also illustrates the problems not only with the system we have, but also with the system that is being proposed. Her fate would've been no better under BO's plan, in fact, despite the negative outcome, at least we finally had a diagnosis to support her symptoms, and we had the choice of pursuing aggressive treatment. It would've only prolonged the inevitable, though, so she made the decision not to endure it. In BO's plan, as I understand it, she probably would've died without knowing exactly what the problem was, because she was 70 years old and the test she needed (MRI) was costly. That would've been a much bigger problem with me.

"Suckie" works, too, though.

Not to get off topic, but did anybody see Obama on NASCAR Channel? Did anybody buy his "knowledge" of NASCAR? Totally fake and bullshit.

Unfortunately, I disagree. He will win reelection...people are way too stupid. Also, even if the republicans win, it won't matter they suck too.

And I suppose yours is impeccable? You stupid fucker couldn't comment on the sport if your life depended on it. What the Hell is Obama supposed to do, not have the Chase drivers visit? You think Bush had a clue on the Red Wings visit?

As for your knowledge, I bet you couldn't name the top 12 Chasers, let alone describe the format of the Chase. Hell, you have Chicagoland there in Chicago and I bet you didn't even go to the race.

I cannot wait until some sort of legislation gets passed through on Health Care. I will be here all day to rub all of your faces in it.

And before any of you say it's wrong to "push it through" or "ram it through," go fuck yourselves. As if it wasn't bad enough your party brought us national election fraud in 2000 and 2004, it is now being revealed that Tom Ridge, Bush 43's Sec of Homeland Security, has said they raised the alert level fraudulently, based on well, fraud, in order to keep the focus on terror, thus keeping that stupid sonofabitch Bush in office.

So before you Cons get your pussies all wet over the not so probability of a Con take over of the House in 2010, the corruption just keeps coming in waves. Imagine that, more Bush Admin corruptness.

What, the Feds protecting the rights of a woman to chose? Let me guess, you are trying to imply that Govt will make decisions for you once the Overhaul happens?

Try for once to not to listen to Fox News or Limbaugh. The Govt will not decide anything for you, including which plan to chose. scare tactics my friend, scare tactics.

You religious wackos are the ones who want Roe v Wade overturned, basically saying you want Govt to decide no on abortion.

Yep, I see a hypocrisy alright. As long as it's lock step with your beliefs, then yeah, the Govt should step in.

No dear, what I'm saying is that it's hypocritical to say "my body my choice" when talking about abortion, yet pushing a health care reform package that will potentially limit the amount of "choice" a person will have to receive health services, simply based on age or other limiting factors. Will granny be able to say "my body my choice" when she's a hundred years old and needs a pacemaker, or will be she forced to suffer and 'take that pill' because the government tells her she's no longer a useful member of society. Who are they to decide that???

Please prove your argument. I mean, really prove it- cite a source, not some typical right wing hot air.

Obama's plan will not, I repeat will not force you to have the US Govt take care of you. They have maintained all along, that you can keep your private care if you so desire.

Please prove us "Libs" wrong.

Dean, you're so full of shit with this I don't even know where to begin. I don't believe you will find a place where I have EVER said here that the govt should decide on 'no abortion'. What I have said is that abortion should never be used for birth control, just because she can, and that I am adamantly opposed to partial birth abortion and DO feel that it should be banned. So you've guessed wrong, but I'll clarify it for you. The interesting dichotomy to me is the argument that a woman has a right to choose to have a procedure to abort a child, yet if this plan goes through, it's very likely that a senior woman will not be allowed the choice of having a life-saving procedure because she has maxed out her usefulness to the society. And that, too, is based on a government decision.

As for the government 'stepping in', I believe you have me confused with an effin liberal. Asshole liberals feel like they can say and do anything they want, cause as much hate and discontent, not to mention public outcry, when it comes to their views, but if someone who doesn't agree with them stands up and publicly shouts out their beliefs, it's "unamerican". They make me wanna puke.

If you'd take each argument at it's face value, and not paint each one with the same liberal brush, you wouldn't come off like such a jerk. Your intelligence gets lost in your argument, and that's a shame.

LOL, lose it? The Feds are the only entity who will take anyone on if they lose their current coverage! You simply are not bright at all. The Feds won't drop you- they won't drop you for a certain condition, or not take you on for a pre existing condition.

Again, why are you idiots so concerned about this? This won't affect you. You all have your own insurance. Well, the only way it will affect you is if you lose your current plan and need insurance, then of course you can lean on the Feds for medical help.

That's a personal decision, and oh by the way, where are you Cons when it comes to welfare for that single mom to help take care of the unwanted child? You all look the other way.

Oh yea, and what Obama said is the absolute truth too. Well stated.

Did you hear all the biblical references he used when talking to the thousands of religious leaders via teleconference? Pitiful. I bet if that woulda been GWB the ACLU would've already filed suit claiming breach of separation of church & state.

I swear I don't think there's any lengths he won't go to in trying to get his way. I wonder how many faces he truly has... :?

And now what is your problem with Obama's faith values? You do the man is a Christian right? The difference is Obama doesn't go into a closet and dial up God on a hotline like W did. W was brainless, clueless.

My problem with his faith values is that he doesn't have any, he just uses words when he thinks it's will achieve his goals. What do ministers have to do with health care? He's trying to manipulate people, and he's doing it very badly. The only thing transparent about BO is what a fake he is.
