Some people simply won't have it both ways and can't get over the past enough to enjoy the present and the future. It's sad really...the music lives on and is represented by good talent. Arnel does justice to the songs and makes it a fun experience to watch a show. One reason I can still enjoy it is because I don't let what certain band members have allegedly done in the past cloud my experience. It's all about the music. Realizing I am not without fault myself makes it easier to forgive others for their shortcomings.

When Pineda writes 90% of the set list they perform, then maybe he can play himself.

No need to. He sings the old songs to the delight of the fans. Shows that the band's importance lies in the collective efforts of all members and that's its about the music, and not one man.

Until then, sorry to say, he is just a cover singer.

Let's explore why he's (Arnel) a cover singer. Perhaps it's because the "original" singer has spent 20+ years trying to come to terms with the fact that he can't sing the songs anymore and he's done everything in his power to thwart the continuance of Journey.

Truth is hard to get your hands around here sometimes, but you must try.

No one is more deluded than a guy that once claimed a very mediocre singing Jeff Scott Soto performed at a level that was "better than anything Perry ever did."

Further proof why Journey should have ceased and changed their name and started anew.

Actually, they tried that with Chalfant and Rolie (Journey And Beyond?), but a certain lying ex-member came back because he suddenly wanted back in. He recorded and bailed. Put the blame on him.

This will haunt them FOREVER.

Suuuure it will. An album that was in the Top 40 for 15 weeks, 700,000 in sales, a Top 40 tour last year, a new DVD coming out, a new album early next year and a huge tour to follow. Boy, they're fucked.
