Paul had ZERO issues with his voice last night in Montreal. None. Let's put that to rest.
Highlights from last night:
Buckcherry sucks, as that singer strains as he screamed into the mic all night. I can definately see him going down the Augieri/Axl Rose route someday. It was kinda funny though when he turned "Crazy Bitch" into Billy Squire's "The Stroke" and simulated masturbation. I didn't care for how he glorified his cocaine use in his lead in talk to some tune about Cocaine. OK...that was a lowlight.
KISS was great! One hundred and twenty-five minutes of loud metal/theatre! (that's twenty more minutes than The Journey played) The only thing that rubbed me the wrong way was when Paul Stanley announced that while he might only be speaking English tonight, his "heart will be french canadian". Damn...that made me want to take a dump right in my drawers...although the crowd ate it up.
An updated sounding "I Stole Your Love" (great harmonies) and "I Love It Loud" were my favorites of the night. The latter being performed after Gene's demon shaking/booger flicking/blood spewing act and then being raised by cables to the upper rafters to perform that song. Too cool. Someone after the show informed me that Gene had a fear of heights, but that wasn't evident. Paul's hoist that takes him above the audience was broken last night, so he decided he was going to go out into the audience to interact. While beginning his trek, he saw alot of people running down from the stands towards him, so he quickly retreated.
Great show!!!
