I agree with you on this. It's always been my concern.

Also, except for the plokkers, some Filipinos are fans of his for now just because he is with an American band. If the band drops him for any reason, I have a gut feeling that those same people will abandon him as fast.
Now, if Arnel will say no to an invitation to sing, he will be viewed negatively by his fellowmen and the the media over there will not be forgiving. He might even be branded as an elitist.
So AP is in a difficult position right now. The only thing that can prevent him from performing is a Journey contract forbidding him to sing without the band.
Btw, I firmly believe that there's a future for him in the US after Journey. Maybe not as huge, but easy 2K-3K audience in California, Chicago, Guam, Hawaii, Texas, Vegas, etc.
