I don't think they should miss class either, Lu. I think counseling and an apology (which implies their non compliance) is a fair trade off for a lesser 'sentence'. Extra curricular participants are routinely held to a higher standard of behavior. It goes with the territory. Comply or don't be included. quite simply, really.
Well, as I read it, those pictures got into the hands of someone who brough them into the school environment and caused some issues so in a way it
does make it a school problem.
"During the sleepover, the girls took pictures of themselves pretending to kiss or lick a large multi-colored novelty lollipop-shaped phallus that they had purchased, as well as pictures of themselves in lingerie with dollar bills stuck in their clothes as well as other pictures," the lawsuit stated.
In the statement, Darnell said the girls' pictures "were highly inappropriate in content" and that they "caused a disruption within our athletic teams at the beginning of this year's sessions."
If you're going to take pictures with your little friends of all of you playing with penis lollipops and wearing racy lingerie, don't post it on your damn MySpace. Duh!
