Ocho just got too greedy on that fumble, could be a game turner. You could just see it coming when he didn't tuck the ball and tried to stiff arm Reed

No shit. Too close for comfort. After that great start the Bengals have looked flat. Lets see if they can hold on. Big first down here depending on the challenge.

After that overturned Ochocinco reception they seemed to lose a lot of momentum. I don't really think he got the first down there, but it might be hard to determine clear/irrefutable proof he didn't here on the video.

It seems the Bengals will take this one but man what an ugly second half. Actually a bad three quarters. I'll take this win though.

4-0 in the division and now on to the Stealers next week. 6-2 overall, the best Bengals start since Superbowl year 1988.

They are lookin good. Flacco is proving to be just what I've always thought - mediocre! I've NEVER gotten the hype about him

I've said the same thing. He does have a nice deep ball, and at times, they rely way to much on it. Defense's and defensive coordinators are going to figure their deep ball out EVENTUALLY and you're starting to see it this season. I wasn't sold on Baltimore all season and this is the reason why, esp defensively. Cincinnati is a shocker and looked mighty impressive these last two weeks, esp beating a team coming off of a huge win against an undefeated. Palmer is the difference maker and Cinci will go as far as he takes them. Next week, Steelers vs Cinci will more than likely decide the division. Cinci also has a WEAK schedule after Pittsburgh, only playing Minnesota who has the best chance of scolding them.

Nice job by the Packers getting their asses handed to them by a previously winless Tampa team! Also, New Orleans is not off to a great start, but with Brees' arm, I'm confident that they'll mount a comeback!

That was painful to watch. They might as well put Rodgers against a wall blindfolded and start shootin'. I don't know the season total of sacks yet this season on Rodgers (who was sacked 6 times by Tampa!) but he is on pace to smash David Car's record.

Edit: Rodgers, 8 games into the season, is already sacked 31 times. He was only sacked 34 times all of last season.

I think the loss of Chris Henry is when the Bengals slowed. When Henry is in the game Chad is free for more plays. BTW Boomer Esiason officially jumped on the bandwagon today.

You might not want to mention Oakland's name when trying to argue against a "weak schedule"! You'd be far better off removing their name and replacing it with Pittsburgh...the team they have to play next week! That said, the Bengals also play Detroit, Cleveland, and Kansas City, along with Oakland. Those are pretty much 4 automatic wins by just showing up!

I THINK he was just saying since it was a west coast trip it's not automatic... not trying to say the Raiders present a tough game on paper.

Plus, you never know. I think Chris Henry could be a pretty big loss for their offense.

The NFL is set up this way for a reason. It is the best organized sport EVER. Of course Henry's absense can mess with what the offense is trying to do, and it could hurt them. Who know's how Cinci will fair against bad teams like Oak, Det, or Clev who DAMNED NEAR BEAT THEM! Tampa Bay slaughtering Green Bay today and just when you think a team like Arizona is out, they put up 41 against a team that was supposed to contend for a title. On paper, John is right, with Cinci showing up against those bad teams, and since the good fortune and bounces are clearly swaying their way, then it's easy to say they could show up and win, which they should if they want to be taken seriously. But, it's the NFL, and you never know.

Bo Jackson was a fucking BEAST! It's really unfortunate that he was never healthy, because he had the potential to be one of the all time greats. He was the most unique back I ever saw come into the NFL.

You know, in watching that clip he really doesn't seem to have gone down hard. It was just a normal, everyday tackle....something must have been wrong with him that he wasn't saying.....and although I, myself, like elusive backs better - something must be said for the back that can knock the hell out of you.

I really don't remember much of him, as I was more into baseball, NCAA hoops, NBA, and hockey back then....oh, and worshipping one Barry Sanders.

WOW My Packers giving one to the Bucs???? DANG... it will be a very long 2nd half... with the Cowboys this week, the morale at its lowest of the year.... I dont see how they win too many more games... very weak defense and bad offensive line... no special teams coverage.... no coaching... no game breakers. The board up in GB needs to fire Ted Thompson... then fire McCarthy especially if they have another 6-10 year... OH and the 3-4 defense IS NOT WORKING... maybe its time to change back... Kampman is not a coverage guy... he gets beat everytime. Horrible, horrible...

I really thought things were gonna turn out better for you guys after that heroic victory over the Bears in week 1. But that was also back when we thought the Bears were gonna be contenders.

You just can't interchange your defense in the middle of the season! The Packers, at times, showed what the 3-4 defense can do, and that's packages that comes from blitzing that 4th man from any point of the field. You can't just switch back to a base 4-3 with 3-4 talent plugged into the personal. If the Packers draft right and stick to the 3-4 defense, then they will get better. It takes time for it to come together. This is their first year running the 3-4 defense so they are learning. It'll be a learning curve and they still have some guys that don't fit a 3-4 criteria. Give it time my man. (Denver also switched to a 3-4 this year, and are atop the league in total defense.)

As far as the Pack as a team, they might want to think about protecting Aaron Rodgers before they do ANYTHING because he's a damn good talent who has the arm to take them down field. Unfortunately, his linemen are killing their moral on offense, and that limits Rodgers ability as a whole.

Its weird with Aaraon, because he is a great talent... and if he ever gets protection... and a line that can block... watch out. I feel like the team has gone backwards right now to 1993-and 1994 when Brett first came to start... he had no line either then and was sacked a lot... but the coaches kept with him all through out those rough learning days... same can be done here... defense just doesnt have the speed to stop the pass....which is difficult to watch...

It's not that they don't have speed, the 3-4 is built around the defensive lineman, and it's mainly their job to plug the holes and to take on the blocks to let the linebackers rome to get pressure from all angles. The corners rely on that pressure from the d-lineman and backers, and if they can't generate that rush, then that leaves the corners and safety's on an island, so it's not that they can't cover the pass. They will get better with time and the right personal.

Win or lose Denver is legit. Baltimore and Tampa Bay have shown that defense can carry you to a championship. And with an offensive mind like McDaniels he'll generally find a way to score enough points to allow the defense to win the game. The key for Denver is simply not turning the ball over.

Dude...you haven't heard bad commentating until you listen to that Today Show reject Bryant Gumbel do a game on the NFL Network. That guy is fucking ATROCIOUS! Hopefully, the NFL Network has received enough hate mail in the off-season and he isn't back in the booth when the Thursday night schedule kicks off this week!
