This ghost thing is another debate. I can talk ghosts forever, a very interesting topic that can go many appealing ways.. without argument! haha. Ghost's are said to be "spirits that are corrupted" and have a "calling on Earth" and "still have the desire to not leave Earth for whatever personal reason." Of course, religion has to play a big part in this reasoning and calling for ghosts. If anything, if ghosts are proven to be real, and there are things out there that are damn debatable, then that goes against against anything the Bible says of a Heaven or Hell.

The topic roster has been nothing short of diverse, and political/economical goings-on aplenty are examined as well as the paranormal and UFOlogy.

For whatever I do or don't believe, I don't call people who disagree with me dumb or ignorant. That's not respectful and all it does is create more hostility over an already volatile issue. I may feel a certain way about things, but the fact is, not everyone agrees with me and I can't change it. I can disagree about bible interpretation all day long, but in the end, that's what it is. My interpretation. I'm not going to be put up with being called names for it anymore than people who feel the opposite are going to put up with it if I do it. I've make jokes about the situation or the debate here, but not at anyone. Wait... I have a bad memory - I should go back and make sure before I say that ... ... but I don't THINK I have.

And I've also (I feel) been careful to make sure that when I do talk about groups of people, that I state that I am aware that whatever I am saying does not necessarily apply to all. In most cases, I'm referring to the extremes (on both sides), kind of like Stu just said.

Bottom line... neither side can really prove their argument. My personal opinion though, is that one side has a better argument, but that's just me.

Really pretty interesting--one of them is a Linguistics something-or-other and he and another guy poured tons and tons of data into this computer program and by parsing out certain phrases or words it predicted the future which by then had already passed if you get my meaning. Anyway, currently the program is predicting all kinds of awful things for next year so I was actually alarmed. Pretty good guests--and I could tell even George was interested 'cause usually he sounds like he's surfing the web while his guests (who are so wacky) are talking, lol. Anyway, didn't mean to derail this thread--they do talk a lot about religion, theology, ghosts and stuff.

It is not irrational to beleive in a creator any more than some atheist beleive that an alien came to earth and planted dna in order to start life, because they are stumped by their own law that something cannot come from nothing.


Theories are just that..............hypothesis based on facts. But not all proved. You can no more prove that the world exploded and made everything work together perfectly any more than we can prove God. They both take some faith to beleive. They both have things unexplained.

There's two opinions, mine and yours, no arguments you big fruity fag.

If you go back and read what I wrote, I acknowledged that some couples both need to work out of necessity. But I know plenty of well-to-do couples that both work just for the sake of it... or on the flip side, working is fine, but then when they come home after their shfit, they go out and drink 4 nights a week and don't take kids to after school activities or spend time with them. That's objectively bad parenting.

Fact is, when you put up logic vs logic then I believe religion doesn't stand a chance when talking straight logic of what actually happens in this world, God or not. In fact, it's Atheism that uses nothing but logic and brainstorms to the point where they use things that are actually proven or having some strong artifacts to support an arguement to their advantage.
