Just needling our resident Football "Experts."
It's not the first prediction I've been wrong about and won't be the last. I honestly didn't expect Pittsburgh to get slapped around so much. I'm not sold on the Cincinatti offense but their defense looks VERY good, to my eyes. Congrats on the win and see you in January. As you probably already know from the tone of my postings on this board, I LOATHE Shitsburgh and all of their big-mouthed, whiny, bitch fans, so I can assure you that I'm not shedding any tears right now! That said, the Steelers aren't going away. They have the weakest road schedule in the entire NFL for the remainder of the season, so that will pretty much guarantee that they'll win their share of games!
The Steelers do have a MUCH MUCH tougher schedule from here on out compared to Cinci. We got Baltimore twice (I think they will split) Green Bay, and Miami during that stretch. No gimmie's. We won't go away but it'll be a tough week to week basis from here on out. You'll know what the Steelers are made of throughout the rest of the season and they will need to prove to everybody again if they are contenders. It's up to them. Been there done this. Division is not out of reach but the window is closing. Long season.
I'll be shocked if you guys lose to the Ravens either time. I just don't believe they are very good at all. But, things can change. Teams like Green Bay and Miami are always dangerous, as they are likely to be fighting and clawing for a playoff spot every game out from this point...
It doesn't matter if Baltimore is winless at this point, these division matchups are always brutal and each team knows it's others tendencies. Even in the past where Baltimore wasn't that great and the Steelers were playoff contenders, it took all we had to take it to them. That's just the way it'll always be. We are due for a split, esp since going 3-0 against them last season. I expect it to be equally tough, if not tougher. I hope you right, but it'll be a tough 2 game matchup no matter who wins.
