When I see DBs handchecking and swiping WRs hands away all game, but Butler just jumps for a ball, NO contact - and that's PI? The refs took this away from the Pats.
I have no problem with the officials' call on the 4th and 2 because Faulk was juggling it. The Butler interference call was one of the most absurd calls I've ever seen. Hell, watching it live, I thought it was ridiculous and seeing the replay really made the call unconscionable. Oh well...It's the NFL and this shit happens every week. You get some calls and lose some. At the end of the day, the Patriots really have no excuse for losing this game. They really dominated the Colts for most of the game, so to piss away a game they were dominant in is a huge disappointment.

That was the game right there. In a nutshell. Shame. NE was smoking Indy. They held Clark in check like I said. And if it wasn't for those 2 redzone turnovers the game would have been 45-14 at one point. Combine that assinine PI call, and Pats handed those 2 turnovers to Indy, and there's your fucking game. Duckface comes out the hero, and he played like absolute shit.

Saying Manning played like shit is a bit of a stretch! Sure, he made some throws I'm sure he wish he could have back. That said, the guy made the plays when he had to make them and threw four td passes! Manning is a GREAT, GREAT player and I've always respected the hell out of the guy.

He didn't play good enough to win tonight. He needed a horrible call by opposing coach, and a MORE horrible Pass interference call in order to win....
BTW, Bill's horrible call isn't the worst in NFL history as far as I'm concerned.
Buffalo's coach defered possession in OT, and LOST.![]()

You wouldn't last 5 minutes watching a sporting event in enemy territory. You're the sort of chap that would get his ass kicked.
Although I must say I survived in an enemies bar as the ONLY person cheering for my team. My team won a playoff series that night. I left unscathed. It was glorious. I cheered and booed....and I was getting dirty looks from the natives. I didn't care.

Hell yeah it was. Everything the NFL wanted from these two teams, this is the reason why the NFL schedules these matchups for mid season, they never disappoint. The NFL loves high scoring, and even though both defense's has major holes to fill, both offense's score at will and when both teams make a mistake, then something must be wrong. A typical N.E/Indy game for the ages and something tells me this won't be the only one this season. If it does happen, unfortunately for the Colts, Belicheat doesn't lose to the same team twice in a season quite often.

It's just gotta be tough/weighing on their minds if they don't get home field. It's such an advantage forcing Peyton into the January weather in Foxborough. Granted, it's not nearly as big of a disadvantage for Brady to come play indoors, but still.

There is no "if". This is all wrapped up. The Colts have what is effectively a 4 game lead against New England. Three games in the standings and the tiebreaker due to last night's game. The AFC will go through Indy, period. I've seen Manning win a ton of games like that, so if I said I was surprised, I'd be lying. As much as that loss hurts, I think the Patriots are every bit as good, if not better than the Colts are. They weren't last night, but there aren't any trophies being handed out in November. While the Patriots lost that game last night, they also showed that they could pretty much move the ball up and down the field against their defense, so a playoff matchup in January should be interesting. I still think that the AFC Super Bowl representative will be either the Colts or the Patriots.

I'm gonna go on record and say that neither the Colts nor the Pats will make the Super Bowl. Both are very good, but, I don't think either quite has the depth to make it all the way to the Big Game.
