My daughter proceeded to sing the song while my son was getting his exam, and the woman looked at me and said "how does she know this song so well, it's from the 80's" I told her she knows many many 80's songs because her mom listens to 80's radio stations![]()

Some songs don't sound good coming out of a kids mouth though, I have learned! Like "singer in a smokey room, smell of wine and cheap perfume, for a smile they can share the night...." yeah, that didn't sound good coming out of her mouth when she was 8

The movies that mark me in the 80', were Labyrinth,Lost Boys, and The wall

i never really got into new wave. in high school, i was more into NWOBHM (kerrang! was my bible), which lead me to metallica, then i took a detour into the LA hard rock scene - gn'r, crüe, etc.

They're great. Thank. He sounds a little like David Bowie.
What was great about Depeche Mode was they stayed true to their sound but just updated a little and went into the 90s making good music, with this hit:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V7eR7AqvUkI - Enjoy the Silence, one of their biggest hits.

It is. I remember running out to get that album in the late '90s, Ultra. One of their sexiest songs.
