All about what FL didn't do (as opposed to what they COULDN'T do AGAINST the other team), and the old "wanted it more."
Then, incredibly, shots at LAST year's 'Bama team in an effort to prop up this year's team should they win the bowl game and then the all-emcompassing "'bama, Florida it's STILL the SEC that will win" stuff. That AFTER downplaying their victory in the SEC title game, and the mind boggles.

Absolutely, as it should. When a loved one gets diagnosed with terminal cancer or your child or wife is raped and murdered or a loved one is paralyzed, then it puts it in perspective. That's a reason for staying depressed. Absolutely silly to stay in the dumps over something like this for fans past the initial disappointment.

Jana, give me a break here. Thats 2 different discussions. If I dealt with any of those scenarios then absolutely things would be different. But Im not some kind of monster because I take a loss very hard. You obviously dont know how close Ive been to UF since birth. My father graduated there, my sisters and their children. Ive been attending games and Gator Growls with my dad a long time. I have pictures as a baby in a stroller being wheeled around the campus. Gainesville has been a second home to me for a long time. Forgive me for having a special place in my life for that place.

Passionate sports fans are usually passionate about most other "important" and even "non-important" things in life. I'd never fault you for your passion. I just want to talk some smack!

I still think ND wants Meyer. They can pay him 30 times what UF pays him.

Meyer is their first choice. Stoops #2. But Kelly will be the one to take the job. And I think he will be a great choice.

I'm not calling you a monster, SG, or even judging. I live in Gator country and am surrounded by die-hard Gator fans that live and breathe the Gators and never miss a game. Most put it in perspective past the first day of disappointment as they've gotten older. But I do have one friend that even owns a bus where he takes everyone to the game that I suspect if he had a case to try today he would have to cancel due to his deep depression over the loss.

Neighbors a few doors down just painted their mailbox post and mailbox with gator colors and put a gator box on it plus the blue and orange lights they display in their garage lights amongst many other things around the outside of the house during Gator seasonOrlando definitely is Gator country. I almost bought some FSU cupcakes at Publix just to counteract it all

Didn't you just learn not to write checks your mouth can't cash? Last year Utah smoked the 2nd place SEC team. The PAC 10 went 6-0. If UT beats Bama and Cincy beats UF, then what will the spin be? You can't have it both ways. You can't talk it up and fail on the field, then fall back on the "well we're down this year" card. The PAC 10 has been down for 5 years and still goes 5-1, 4-2 and 6-0 in bowl games but I don't talk about them being the best. Right now though, their best 5 teams are better than the SEC's top 5 no doubt.
I can Cincy running over and through UF's defense. You got exposed last week to the run. Your defense is not that good. Playing Troy, FLA Intl and Vandy will inflate the stats.
I want to see the PAC 10 play the SEC in a bowl game.
