I have always disliked Florida, Florida State and Miami. They all come across as thugs, hot dogs and anything but student athletes. They have time and time again demonstrated they possess little to no class.

Having said that, the way Tim Tebow conducted himself this past weekend was admirable. He convinced me he is a class guy and I wish him well. It is one thing to look and sound good in victory, but to do so after such a crushing loss on such a big stage, I found it to be an impressive show of character. To be that emotionally upset (which I don't blame him) and collecting himself so quickly in front of millions of viewers...wow.

Now I wish I'd have followed his career and accomplishments a little closer.

I disagree... his crying, however heartfelt it might have been, took away from Bama's victory and put the attention on him when it should have been focused solely on a dominant and victorious Bama team.

First, I expected him to shake hands and wish the conference champions good luck. Second, I expected him to hold his head up proudly because they could have played Alabama 10 times and they probably would have lost all 10. They simply weren't better in any capacity. That game was far from a "heartbreaker." Fine...you wanna cry because the game's over??? Then he should've started at around the middle of the second quarter.

When you act like the fucking town mayor in victory you have to also do so in defeat. I would never shake fucking hands win or lose, but he seemed to have no problem in doing so in victory so I merely wanted some consistency out of the guy in defeat. That said, Tim Tebow is a great guy and an incredible human being. My criticism(s) are certainly relative to sports and do not mirror the guy in "real life." I'd shake his hand, take a picture with him and tell him it's an honor to meet him if I ever had the chance. I'd even offer to wipe some of SG's saliva off of his zipper. Cheer up, Gator. You guys probably don't watch Canadian Football, but the worst blunder up here was made by the Saskatchewan Roughriders in this year's Grey Cup. Went in as major underdogs, lead the entire game, Montreal could have won the game on the final play but missed the field goal. But - 'Riders got called for too many men on the field so Montreal got another shot and won.

Funniest thing about it is - all year the Saskatchewan fans have been called 'the 13th man' - then their team goes and loses the big one because of 13 men on the field .

Absolutely, as it should. When a loved one gets diagnosed with terminal cancer or your child or wife is raped and murdered or a loved one is paralyzed, then it puts it in perspective. I know that a Quarterback wasn't always taken with the # 1 overall pick every single season of the existence of the NFL. I guess what I mean is that this could be the first year that a QB is not heavily considered to go #1 Overall. I didn't have the data in front of me and just had a quick thought since I figured that Quarterbacks have dominated the #1 draft picks this past decade and that IS the case. My main point I wanted to get across is that either an Offensive Lineman or Defensive Lineman could in fact go #1 and #2 this year, which rarely ever happens.

Maybe, dude- but the PAC 10 (and NO other conference really) has to play as tough of a conference schedule year in and year out as the SEC. These guys get beat up during the year like no other conference. Sure, sometimes a USC or a Utah can beat them in one game. Let those boys play an entire season in the SEC and we'll see. Even Vandy and my beloved UK aren't the bottom feeders they once were (though Vandy did suck mighty hard this year). I just don't think any other conference is a balanced as the SEC.

These two teams were as evenly matched as it gets, offense and defense. Alabama wanted it a lot more than Florida last saturday night-I'll admit Florida basically came in like a bunch of prima donnas just expecting the win to be handed to them like it was their God given right. If they play again a week later I truly believe results could/would be different.

You put on your fucking helmet and hide your crying. That was nothing more than "Look at me, I'm grandstanding (again)." After the game I really expected 2 things out of him. First, I expected him to shake hands and wish the conference champions good luck. Second, I expected him to hold his head up proudly because they could have played Alabama 10 times and they probably would have lost all 10. They simply weren't better in any capacity. That game was far from a "heartbreaker." Fine...you wanna cry because the game's over??? Then he should've started at around the middle of the second quarter.

These two teams were as evenly matched as it gets, offense and defense. Alabama wanted it a lot more than Florida last saturday night-I'll admit Florida basically came in like a bunch of prima donnas just expecting the win to be handed to them like it was their God given right. If they play again a week later I truly believe results could/would be different.
SJ, in case you dont know when a teams goes on a 22-23 game winning streak as Florida did complacensy(sp?) sets in,especially with a bunch of college kids not long out of high school. You tell me the Gator team that showed up midway thru the year to play LSU in Baton Rouge on a saturday night kickoff wouldve lost to Bama? Hell no, that team scratched and clawed and demanded the victory. Im not making any excuses for last saturday nights loss but I DAMN sure wont listen to someone telling me that Bama wins 10 out of 10, thats a homer who obviously isnt thinking or speaking intelligently. Colt looked like a Pop Warner QB...I swear 10 times out of 10 in a reg season game the clock goes to 00:00 on that last "pass" and game is OVER with no replay.

That had to be the worst coaching/game management I've ever seen in my life... they are damn lucky that freshman made a lights out kick. They should have fuckin centered the ball and called time out, at the bare minimum!

What luck... that would have been one of the most infamous blunders in sports history if the game had ended that way.
