Yes, what could make a Steelers fan suffer more than losing to the stinking BROWNS

BUT the Steelers will make it to their next SB before the Browns will even make it to the playoffs, so you will still ultimately be the ones suffering

But I guess you deserve at least a day to gloat

We'll see about that... the heart and soul of the Steelers team, Worthlessberger aside, is getting a lot older - Ward, Harrison, and Polamalu are no spring chickens any more. Parker is old too but he's a non-factor at this point I guess, so nevermind him... Holmes and Mendenhall are decent offensive pieces to build around. The defense is getting exposed this year much the smae way the Ravens once stalwart D is.
While I don't expect them to become anything near as bad as the Browns have been, I do think that the law of averages needs to kick in and have us finally succeed in a draft here... we have to start going up at some point. This has been a really bad year for the AFC North overall. The Bengals looked impressive through the first half but they've been dreadful the last four or five weeks. I hope they can pick it up offensively and represent in the playoffs.
Even though you are a genius to point out that Ward nor Harrison are spring chickens (Hines is having his best year in the NFL and Harrison was 'no spring chicken' when he entered the league at 28 to begin with, so I don't buy that.) I've been saying it all over my Steelers boards for some time.. the Steelers MUST address the defensive side of the ball these next couple of seasons, esp the d-line. Our defensive lineman are ALL over 30 years of age, as are the backups. We got our defensive end of the future already marked in last seasons draft in Ziggy Hood. We must find depth all over the place which ranges from our Middle linebacking core, through our safeties. Having fresh, young depth is key and we have none of it. James Farrior has been solid throughout his career, but he's obviously been out of sync and is now become stale and slow. We must find a middle line backing duo that works, and Timmons would fit better in the Mack position as he would the Buck.
As far as offense is concerned, I believe we'd be fine once we get rid of that CLEVELAND REJECT in Bruce Arians who completely throws an overload of talent down the shitter.
Obviously, losing to the Browns, the Chiefs, and Raiders is something happening internally that carries out on the field and it MUST and will be addressed in the off season. Health is important to ANY football team it's just unfortunate that the Steelers have been dealing with it all season, esp to it's key starters that are game changers.
As far as the Clowns living up to it, don't bank on it! Beating the Steelers and going to a whomping 2-11 isn't anything to grow on no matter how bad you'd like it to. The Browns, from the name, to the organization, down to the players and coaches are FILLED with nothing but retardation and beating a distraught Steelers team in shambles won't change that. Once the Steelers get it right for next season, expect a new dominance to continue and a new winning streak over the Browns to continue moving forward! (Just like in '03 when they beat us, and just like 'in 05 when the Bungholes beat us and Chad Johnson claimed that the Steelers were black and white, compared to their colored tv. We all know how that ended up. )
The win for the Browns was nothing short of a fired up rivalry game. I said before, if it was ANY time for the Clowns to do it, it would of been last night. If the Browns face the Steelers at full throttle and at their best, they'd get their face stomped in. Last night was the Brown's best and that's sad.
