I doubt anyone will remember to bump this post in another three years if that is indeed their opinion![]()
Hm, most albums I put in that I consider "terrible" at first are albums by bands that radically change their sound or just underwhelm me a lot compared to my expectations... a great example is Dream Theater's Systematic Chaos. In hindsight, it's not terrible and has great moments, but it was and still is very underwhelming for me as a big fan of the band.
VH III is a good one.
I guess if I've bought/heard any truly terrible albums, I've thrown them out or never listened to them enough to really consider them terrible. I'll have to think about this.

Forgot about that piece of shit. Thanks for bringing that one up.

Seriously, I'm old enough to have purchased this for a girl on whom I had a terrible crush. Like every other attempt at romance before the age of 21, it ended disastrously. But we did listen to it at her birthday party, and I remember thinking it was a pile of shit. Of course, I had just gotten "ESC4P3" so it sounded even worse.

Van Halen III... I strongly disagree with you both... definitely an underrated gem, in fact one of my favorite VH albums. Definitely has musical growth and depth, but I guess most VH fans just want to rock, and this isn't much of a "rockin" disc.

Were you a breastman back then too??
80's Rock worked (for me anyways) on all large breasted women...![]()
