It's my new diet idea. If I look at all the pictures in one sitting, my hunger seems to go away.

Do people who normally eat shellfish have problems when they eat these? Is that why they're "allergen clad"? (I have a class 5 allergy to all shellfish, so I get to carry an epi-pen around because of it)

O.K. cyndy...........I am confused over this whole "vegan" mac and cheese................are you saying without milk or cheese added? What makes it vegan? I never knew mac and cheese would be mac and cheese without the cheese.

there isn't any real cheese in the vegan version. many vegans call it "cheeze," as it's just the easiest way to describe the creamy, fatty, salty, unami flavor/feel of the sauce. i make mine with nutritional yeast, soy milk, miso & tahini. it's really yummy & good for you too! it's got no cholesterol, no saturated fats & is superhigh in vitamin b12.

Shoot man, I was coming in here to add my brother-in-law's homemade guacamole (there is NO better guac in the world!) to the comfort list, and I read this and now I feel fat and unhealthy.

To be honest, I don't mind vegan food at all (ok, the Smart Dogs are pretty gross... but you can't win them all), and I don't think I'd mind eating that way overall... probably be thinner and healthier too.... but the idea of never having a Royal Burger from Red Robin again would give me nightmares. :o

Hmm. Currently enjoying my favorite comfort item... coffee! :D

I like the regular and white cheddar.... last weekend before getting on a plane, at the airport store I bought the Cheddar Jack Cheez Its... never had them before but I love Cheddar Jack.... well, they weren't the best. my friend has the regular ones and the whole plane ride I was eyeballing them, jealous that I made a poor choice and was stuck with the gross ones.

Most of my really favorite foods are stuff he makes. We all keep saying he seriously needs to be on one of those competition shows on the food network. He's an AMAZING cook and should really be doing it for a living. He's really creative with ingredients and he's got the skills for putting it all together. I don't even know what a double boiler is. :(

(but I can push the buttons on the microwave REAL good!!)

Ive had his chocolate and anyone who hasn't and lives near an IKEA store needs to go buy it and try it! YUM! I mean I LOVE chocolate and thought I knew my favs, but the best I've had.

My other chocolate comfort food is sponge candy!! YUM!! They make it in a few of the "mom and pops" Italian candy stores in Erie and I MISS it and get huge bags whenever I can visit!:

Image

And my other comfort foods all reside in Erie, where I grew up. I make my rounds for my Erie pizza, my Erie pierogis, my Erie donuts, my Erie chocolate... you get the picture

And I love food and I love to cook and bake, so really, my comfort foods are too limitless to list
