O.K. cyndy...........I am confused over this whole "vegan" mac and cheese................are you saying without milk or cheese added? What makes it vegan? I never knew mac and cheese would be mac and cheese without the cheese.

there isn't any real cheese in the vegan version. many vegans call it "cheeze," as it's just the easiest way to describe the creamy, fatty, salty, unami flavor/feel of the sauce. i make mine with nutritional yeast, soy milk, miso & tahini. it's really yummy & good for you too! it's got no cholesterol, no saturated fats & is superhigh in vitamin b12.

Shoot man, I was coming in here to add my brother-in-law's homemade guacamole (there is NO better guac in the world!) to the comfort list, and I read this and now I feel fat and unhealthy.![]()

To be honest, I don't mind vegan food at all (ok, the Smart Dogs are pretty gross... but you can't win them all), and I don't think I'd mind eating that way overall... probably be thinner and healthier too.... but the idea of never having a Royal Burger from Red Robin again would give me nightmares.![]()
