There are MILLIONS of articles linking man-caused global warming to an increase in hurricanes, virulent weather, and increased precipitation:
This one, taken from the 2007 Fourth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC-AR4), is interesting. It also has nothing to do with ANY of the "disputed" findings to which you dittoheads so frequently refer:
Several peer-reviewed studies show a clear global trend toward increased intensity of the strongest hurricanes over the past two or three decades. The strongest trends are in the North Atlantic Ocean and the Indian Ocean. It is “more likely than not” (better than even odds) that there is a human contribution to the observed trend of hurricane intensification since the 1970s. In the future, “it is likely [better than 2 to 1 odds] that future tropical cyclones (typhoons and hurricanes) will become more intense, with larger peak wind speeds and more heavy precipitation associated with ongoing increases of tropical [sea surface temperatures].”
Global temperature has increased and precipitation patterns have changed over the 20th century as a result of human-induced global warming, resulting in some increases in extremes of temperature and precipitation. According to the IPCC-AR4, “[i]ncreases in the amount of precipitation are very likely [better than 9 to 1 odds] in high-latitudes, while decreases are likely [better than 2 to 1 odds] in most subtropical land regions,” and “it is very likely [at least 9 to 1 odds] that hot extremes, heat waves, and heavy precipitation events will continue to become more frequent.”
I'm not sure how to take being called an idiot by someone that has an avatar of someone either hurling, getting ready to take it up the ass or thinking someone ought to actually be impressed with a do-rag and some triceps. Having said that...here is what I said...
"This is just like predictions the past few years of all the killer hurricanes that were going to occur because of GW...that didn't. Just wait though. Even though we are probably getting about due for a big hurricane season...when it occurs many will be claiming it is due to GW. You heard it here first."
The point being...when on a roll, the "experts" were predicting a bunch of shit that didn't happen. Oops. No harm no foul. But, everytime something does occur, it will be because of manmade global warming. They will have the 1,000,000s as you say "factual" studies to prove it. blah blah blah In fairness, I would say the same thing about people stating we are having global cooling now based on this year's frigid winter.
I'll stand by what I have said before. You can find a paper done by "credible" reseachers on any viewpoint you want, with any conclusion you want, all driven by the almighty dollar. No money, no research. I've seen it and lived it.
I'm no more a scientist than anyone else on this board. Never claimed to be, nor will I. I only have an opinion based on what has been read and experienced, which is worth as much as any other opinion around here...about $.00 and being called a name.
