What is it with the two of you? You say you hate fags, but the two of you follow each other around this board like a couple of starry eyed lovers. It's like the minute one of you posts anything the other one follows immediately after.
That just seems a bit ...., well ....., gay.

Matty, I love ya dude, I really do...I laugh out loud at your posts all day, but have to disagree big time here. If a person is gay, they're gay. They're still human beings and deserve respect as a human. Yeah I know, I make fun of fags too, but if we ever have to be serious, which is hardly at all here, I have to support the other side here. If it's a choice, it's a choice, and if it's innate, well it's innate. I just know I won't judge someone for being gay. It doesn't bother me at all and to go one step further, I don't think their lifestyle should even be a topic of conversation. It's really a private matter isn't it? Their "behaviour" doesn't harm others, and doesn't impede "liberty, life or the pursuit of happiness" of others does it? A gay person deserves everything life has to offer as a straight person.
I know you will hate me for this, but that's where I stand.

I'm not sure I'll ever understand the hate. That's someone else's life. They have a right to it. That's someone else's bedroom - it's none of anyone else's business. I just don't get what is so damn difficult about that concept.

The truth of the matter is I don't really care that much. It's just fun to push their buttons because they're so damn insecure as people.
I'm not an opponent of gay marriage and I really don't care that much one way or the other, but one thing I do care about are two things that almost every gay I've ever known has consistently done: (1) Played the victim card and (2) Expected me to not only "accept" the lifestyle, but to actively voice my encouragement and approval of it. In the course of doing both things, they make it a matter of anything but a "private matter." No thanks.

Yeah, but the thing here is that it isn't as easy as "I don't give a damn what other people think" because "what other people think" is what is causing gays to be denied rights. It's not like "Ok, I'm happy even though I'm short/tall/too thin/too heavy... and it doesn't matter what other people think..."
It's a lot like the civil rights movement - they're being denied rights and discriminated against because of something that is beyond their control.

If anything, people are MORE bigoted today than ever before. That includes people who are bigoted against Christians who believe homosexual behavior is a sin.

There's nothing bigoted about being against Christians who believe homosexuality is a sin. It's ok to think whatever you want, but the fact is that Christians believe homosexuality is a sin, and a choice. It's not a choice.
Seriously; people can believe whatever they god damn want to, but there's a big difference about believing and what's a fact
