Agree.
IRONIC statement...
do tell, where do you see irony?
has anything ever been good about a govt run program? you think 940billion dollar price tag is guaranteed.... no way... I see the cost to about 3 trillion in five years... and that is just for starters...
to me...I am no expert on health... but will any of the cost go to those who need it... NO... the costs will go to those who run the program... you wait and see... in the last two years in Iowa... we have had
two govt fraud situations... both by people who should never have been appointed to head their departments... one was a iowa jobs site... the other was for the state school boards... and in both cases... the funds from the govt went to the leaders in RAISING Their own salaires... to bonuses for the department... just saying this will be how health care in govt will be handled...
Wrong on all counts.
First of all, THOSE WHO ARE IN CHARGE right now, have the best healthcare available to them. So this wont benefit THEM one bit.
Its funny how people like you , try to fight for medicare, medicaid and social security and saying that this new bill basically will kill the social security etc,,,,,, but let me ask you this,,, isnt medicare, medicaid and social security , all government run programs and so far successful for those in need?
Last but not least, you have not lived in a country where the government assisted healthcare works perfectly, so all youre trying to warn us about are things that Limbaugh and his fans try to preach. The reality is far from these false warnings. The truth of the matter is that if we werent getting ready to make a change once and for all, we would see more people losing all they worked for all their life , because of one surgery.
If I were you, Id be more openminded and welcome ANY ideas and options to fix what we already got. Its a long way to go, but we have to START somewhere.... you cant just let crap pile on top of crap and pass it on to the next generation.
bravo,
only because there is no other choice... and perfect for who... the govt becasue the PEOPLE ARE DEPENDENT on that way of life...they have WON that battle with people, for them to be dependent... which is what govt is PERFECT ACT if you let them...
THOSE COUNTRIES and people who live in them... HAVE ALWAYS BEEN DEPENDENT ON GOVT RUN EVERYTHING... that is your first ERROR... if they had their choice...they would pick freedom... and choice... over perfection of govt run programs...
There you go talking out of your ass again. Sweden and its people have a lot more freedom than here. You think they wouldve tolerated a fiasco like Bush cheating himself into the office TWICE and start a war that most people were against it to begin with. And theyre not dependent of the government,,, they put their trust in the government and the government doesnt misuse that trust . After all, with what youre saying, if we cant trust our own government, and the governement shouldnt do anything for people, except bail out banks , then why the fuck do we need a government ??
Most people are against this health bill as well.

i think the american people, the tax paying people, deserve the same health care plan as the people we vote into office, plain and simple.

those who think you are going to be able to go to MAYO and have it FREE at the same time... are delussional...I think thats what people really think in the FREE HEALTH CARE... that you ask for something like surgery or whatever chatostraphic health coverage... IT WONT BE FREE... thats what I am talking about in govt run... I think there are so many people who think everything will be paid for by someone else... and that wont be the case... thats what i am talking about, what I dont want to pay for...

You are aware that Costa Rica has universal healthcare, right?

It works, no doubt about it. You guys got to stop bitching over paying some more in taxes; that's a good thing!

Rockindeano wrote:Behshad, you might as well change the title of this thread to "Republican Paranoia." It's funny watching these clowns freak out about nothing. It's so funny watching them get it completely wrong, still trying to smear the facts of the bill and make it look like it is a bad thing. LOL, I love this. It's a good bill, will accomplish a ton; no more premium hikes, pre-existing conditions will not matter any longer, no more denying coverage for any reason. It will save enough money, by ridding the corruption and fraud in the insurance industry and also with the emphasis seeing a doctor before you get sick, instead of waiting until you're sick, and no more use of the ER's- it will pay for itself. It's the right thing to do. Having 32 more million Americans enjoying the safety and piece of mind of affordable insurance, is worth it alone. This will help everyone, except the top 2%, the people who don't need help.
Stuart, you need some valium. Relax, and put the Limbaugh letter away dude. Lights, you are so far off it isn't even funny.
It has the support of AARP, USMA, and countless other entities in the industry.
Don't like it Pubbies, tough shit. Move to Costa Rica and enjoy life.
