Meeee!! And I hated mashed potato's, they made me gag!! My mother tried anything
and everything to get me to eat them ...including putting them in an icecream cone, yes ma'am!! ;)

Mashed potatoes in an icecream cone? LOL! Well your mom was creative. My dad used to make me eat olive loaf. For those so fortunate to not know what this is I will tell you. It is Bologna with green olives and pimentos all through it. I am sure knowing my dad, it was economical, and he liked it. I used to gag at the thought of it. He made me eat it, and it came back up every time. I guess he gave up after a while, watching it come up in reverse was affecting his desire for it. LOL! Blech.    :x :P

This can't really be considered health care reform. It's more some health insurance reform.
There is a long way to go to really reforming health care, but at least this is one step in the right direction.

Yup, totally true - but I don't think you got the point of my post. It's more that the consequences you take in the mall, grocery shop etc, impacts a lot more people than yourself. That's my point (One of 'em at least. I'm not judging you, Ginger. :) ). I'm really passionate about this, and I think more should be to be honest.

I got two girl's phone number on my morning run today. Latinos are just amazingly beautiful! Still waiting for MG's number though...

"Only hours after the president signed health care reform legislation into law on Tuesday, the immediate political benefits for the Democratic Party are already coming into focus.

According to a Gallup/USA Today poll conducted the day after health care legislation passed the House of Representatives, 49 percent of the respondents think the passage of reform is a "good thing," compared to the 40 percent who think it is bad. The numbers are a welcome relief for a party and a presidency that had been bleeding popular support over the course of the past six months.

Democrats didn't just get a health-care-related boost in the realm of public opinion. The Democratic National Committee reported raising more than $1 million in donations on Tuesday even without making a direct ask. The money is expected to pour in for other campaign committees as well."

Dude, they have NOTHING left to run on. This is their only chance...to hope for dropping poll numbers of the president and the Dem Congress. I imagine he'll come in and show an article from the WSJ, or National Review, or some right leaning fishwrap stating some obvious right winged garbage and try tp pass it off as legitimate news, but it doesn't work any longer. They're fucked, no other way to put it. I wasn't going to gloat or as Dan put it, "prance around saying hahahahahaha" but after seeing their childish behaviour, complete with whining and promises of repeal and lawsuits, I say it's all fair game now. FF is going to wish he never came here.

And you made some valid points too parfait, but I was just saying old habits die hard. People need to learn to cook and shop and eat more efficiantly. If you were raised on fried chicken, white gravy, fried okra, fried most everything.........you need to learn to change cooking habits. It would also be good if you could be trained to cook more lean and healthy.
People are not born knowing what to eat. Mom's could use help learning how to cook more economically and healthy meals.
I never felt you were judgeing me Parfait. :D I just was trying to say it is hard for people who don't know how to change to change. I don't think that many people really want to be fat or unhealthy. :D

First of all, I had NO IDEA you went that way {if you know what I mean :P  } (here's a clue: latina   )

Second of all, guess what's as good as the people!! The FOOD!!!!!!!!!!! Yum!! If you are still in Florida, you should try a cuban place, or a good south american place. Flavor, flavor flavor!! No bland crap! Try telling one of those beautiful men/women about your diet and how you feel about food and weight! Latinas like food, latinas like curves and Latinas are not into whole grains and lemon fish, I can guarantee you that  But then again, if they are just going to be one of the "whore" kind of women, like the one you peed on, then I guess what they eat won't matter :P

My question is this... if you have your co pay for doctor visits...at 20.00- 40.00 or whatever the price end up being.. in the future with the govt plan... what if you need real care ER type services, surgerys, tonsels, knee replacements.. MRI, catscans... what type of coverage will we get... you know with your own insurance.... some have 90-10... some have 80-20... up to a certain amount..... HOW MUCH WILL COME OUT OF OUR POCKET FOR THESE TYPES OF SERVICES...

I had new insurance as of the beginning of this month. The deductibles and out-of-pocket expenses are higher. However, the premiums are lower and the overall coverage is just as good or better than before. Typically, the more you pay out-of-pocket, the better your coverage is down the road, at least that's been my experience. We also have what is effectively a health savings account that my employer contributes to that we can use to pay those out-of-pocket expenses throughout the year. There is a maximum that will cover but it's a good benefit.

We have that too, for the stuff that shows up under deductible on an EOB, we just have to submit it and we get reimbursed.

Oh but see that's the problem with our system now, we shouldn't have to pay for healthcare (a private industry) out of pocket, right? Insurance is supposed to cover ALL of it, at ALL times right? Why should we pay evil doctors for their private services? Isn't that what this new wonderful "bill" is for?

I thought peepeeB had a girlfriend? One too many golden showers for her?

Pssst.....he's REALLY sensitive about the girlfriend thing... careful

Get over the god damn peeing stuff already. That's not a subject until the second date anyway.

And just because I'm seeing someone back in France doesn't mean I can't have fun with other, beautiful women.

I wonder why FactFinder didnt copy and paste this ^^^^

Dude, they have NOTHING left to run on. This is their only chance...to hope for dropping poll numbers of the president and the DFem Congress. FF is going to wish he never came here.

doesnt mean its a good bill and once we find out whats covered whats not covered... how regulated our lifes will be...and years to come how much it will cost the american TAX PAYER... we will learn to hate the bill.... what inner city hospital will be forecd to shut down due to lack of funding... what already goes on with lack of funding with the VA hosptitals... they CLOSE... but hey...the govt will take care of us for being lazy asses...heck I am thinking of retiring at 49... I can fire myself... get welfare and unemployement benefits for at least a year... govt health care... foreclose on my house...and live with my parents... ;-) gee.... what I always lived for dependency... ;) THE NEW AMERIAN DREAM!!!
