After it releases, can we rename the Journey forum Engelbert again?

I'd rather be a Loon instead of a Journey fan who is fed the fuzzy math Kool Aid.

Journey fan who is fed the fuzzy math kool aid? You mean the same fuzzy math that determines how album sales are measured, as set forth by the RIAA? We're only paying attention to the sales figures as reported by the folks who wrote how the count works. Think this new fuzzy math only applies to Journey, that they got special treatment to bolster the sales numbers of Revelation?

Find a different rant. This one is not working well for you.

The Eagles last album only sold 3.5 million copies but they are reporting it as 7X Platinum. Of course, all 20 of their songs were NEW.

I don't go with the fuzzy math. But the point is they've sold a million by now, which would be platinum, not double like Jon says. Still great for Journey at this stage of the game.

I believe Caveman is talking about Perry b/c what other solo artist would "come out of the woodwork when it suits him" apply to? Most solo artists are accessible and like talking about their latest project and not hush hush, except you know who.

Why would one of Neals ex's use Kevin Shirley anyway?
You'd think Perry would want to be far away from anyone involved with Journey.
I don't buy it. It's not Perry, nope, wrong recluse.

Didn't he do TBF? The sound production was great on that. I'm sure Perry had a hand in selecting him for that. But I see your point. I would think that, too.

Yeah, it was produced by Shirley. I think he did his best work on Arrival.

If it is Perry then he produced it himself. Shirley just mixed it. Most artists, even control freaks have professional mixers and masters.

Dream Theater - Metropolis is Shirley's best work.

Isn't he talking about Glenn Hughes....

I have also mixed an album of material by a solo artist who will come out of the woodwork when it suits him, and I have tracked and am finishing this BC(?) material. Glenn Hughes singing in the room with me was extraordinary, as he may be one of the finest vocalist I've ever worked with and I have worked with the best - Steven Tyler, Steve Perry, Lou Gramm, Chris Robinson, Bruce Dickinson, Robert Plant, to name just a few. It's pretty thrilling stuff - very raw, quite basic, and 95% of it is cut live - well, between all their schedules, there just hasn't been time to do much else - but I think that's a poisitive - it's very cool. Iron Maiden bassist Steve Harris heard some songs and was knoocked out - he said "this is the kind of music that made me want to play in the first place. I'd go out and buy it now....." The band played out at a gig in Riverside, CA for the first time in mid-March, and it's very exciting stuff!

Of course. Somebody had selective quoting going on and wanted to throw the loons a bone so another rumor could be born and for a couple weeks some people might actually believe Perry had a new album coming out.

so why did someone excerpt that comment out and paste it when it's clear he's mentioning Glenn Hughes?
